this stock used to be consistent in giving out dividend..if it's back on the track..ppl will be more convinced to invest in this stock

My expectation is:
This coming April - May (strong accumulation phase)
June onwards (bullish)

The real catalyst is the upcoming QR next month..if the profit can maintain 4mil and above..then I personally think the share price can move upward..even some goreng may possibly happen.

Big oil nations will start cutting their oil production in May..definitely will lead to price hike ..which I believe will benefit BANL..Straits also will provide good QTR by the end of May..hopefully there will be a big goreng by May-June

BANL started from 4USD , today rose to 18USD.

In the meantime, BANL also has a High Technical Rating by Nasdaq Dorsey Wright.

Hopefully the profit-sharing with Straits Energy will be significant in the near future.

Labuan's waters seems to be the most strategic locations to carry out the business..Straits may be one of the key players in this deal (as they are the port operator and doing STS activity within the area)

Well..the share consolidation proposal is subjected to shareholder's approval..which is likely to be tabled for voting in the upcoming AGM..so @mni75 is probably right (as reported by Nanyang)

It is logical if consolidation happens before warrant expire as they already consider the scenario in their full annoucement.
Anyhow, we shall see..

On 15 December 2021, an announcement made that Bursa had approved shares lisiting up to 186,811,479 for Straits (when it says "up to" its not necessarily have to be that amount..its maximum scenario)
They did first tranche PP for 91,340,000 shares and now they going for share consolidation.
If they really wanna go for total 20% PP (186,81,479 new shares) as proposed earlier..they would consider that in their share cosolidation announcement under maximum scenario (total shares + all warrants converted)..however they only stated existing Straits shares only -882mil (after PP first trance completed)+ all warrants converted for the maximum scenario..
If they do PP after share consolidation..the amount of new shares will be different that announced earlier as the total shares have been reduced..so that wont make any sense..
My opinion is that they prefer the remaining fund raising via warrant conversion.
I believe big announcement coming soon as they seem confident that share price will fly after consolidation..maybe acquired big contract? or STS completed? or GEM listing approved? who knows..my 2 cents

The port will be congested with vessels as it is one of alternative for Bintulu Port. Also the Pan Borneo Highway is on the way to be completed. This will improve connectivity within Borneo Island.. and Indonesia has moved their capital to Kalimantan (also in Borneo Island)..a lot of projects will take place there..my 2 cents

Remember guys, Straits has very huge advantage in Eastern Malaysia..
On this coming Saturday, our Prime Minister will be launching the East Coast Package of Pan Borneo Highway!
Once Sabah & Sarawak along with Brunei and Indonesia (Kalimantan especially) have good connectivity, the economy of Borneo Island will be significantly improved over time..Labuan Port will become a busy port..Bunkering activity around the eastern ocean will be a real deal too !

In general, PP for expansion is a good thing. Furthermore, they are acquiring 90% - 100% holding in shipping service provider which will be very beneficial to their core business.
The company to be acquired also has a well-established portfolio in Malaysia and a profit-making company..
It is not like they are doing PP to settle their debt like many companies do..
Straits is definitely on the right track to be a giant in the sea!

Buy another vessel = demand is there..
This time their payment term is much longer (3 years) thus wont affect QR that much..
I forecast Straits profit will jump significantly starting next year..

@tuancapital not to forget..labuan-menumbok bridge is currently on RFP phase..the result will be determined soon (this October- tentatively). The construction of this bridge (Labuan to Sabah Mainland) will be a game changer for Victoria Port of Labuan which it will become a logistical hub. Also to note that Straits is port operator of Victoria Port of Labuan.

@keep going, they rolled their profits in the last four years (from 2017) to establish their business infrastructures (including purchase of vessels..starting from 2 vessels in 2017 now they currently own 14 vessels in 2021).
