Our country is regressing in terms spendin power in healthcare. Long term and chronic illnesses are expensive to sustain. Generic is the only way forward with primary care. Original drugs do have a role but only to those who can afford. To give you perspective take a look at our epf stats, how many retirees have more than 100k and how many of them can afford 200-300 per month on medication alone. Yess ori drugs efficacy and data is much more superior. At the end of the day is how much money you have and what kinda govt you have that enable you to have the best meds.
