TH Heavy Engineering, in a consortium with Afcon Infrastructure Ltd and Technip KT India Ltd, has received a notification of award from Oil And Gas Corp Ltd to work on the Heera Redevelopment Project process platform project in India on turnkey basis.
· Its portion of the US$289.5m contract was estimated to be at least RM50m. The company will undertake the procurement, fabrication and load-out the substructures which form part of the project. (StarBiz)

TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) is on track to become a full-service marine construction company in the oil and gas sector, alongside its bigger peers SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd, after almost three years of being classified as a Practice Note 17 company.
· Last Friday, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with McDermott International Inc, to provide a broad spectrum of marine construction services in the Malaysian and Asia-Pacific offshore oil and gas industry.
· The collaboration will see Mc-Dermott acquiring a 30% stake in TH Fabricators Sdn Bhd for US$24.5m (RM75m). The latter is a wholly-owned unit of THHE, and it is licensed by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to undertake fabrication jobs in the country.
· In the other hand, THHE will also acquire a 30% stake in McDermott's locally incorporated unit Berlian McDermott for the same valuation of US$24.5m. (Financial Daily)
