Getting it to buy a few airplanes of its own


As the tenure of the loan to buy airplane can be upto 17 years... having some of its own planes.. one or two or three..... will go a long way to help to ease IAAs cash flow...

Compare this to the amount owing to AirAsia for lease rental..... which while only outstanding for 1 year plus..... but people are crying..... impairment!! impairment!!


17 years vs 1 year.....


IAAs problem can be solved by.... getting it recapitalised... and getting it to buy a few airplanes of its own

AirAsia has delayed all its 2015 delivery of airplanes to 2016... and for better and more fuel efficient new models... no CAPEX

The way MAHB is dropping... it would seem AirAsia has got a case for the 409m.....



The details of the circumstances leading to the filing of the letter of demand against MAHB
and MA (Sepang) Sdn.Bhd.

Pursuant to the letter of demand, AAB claims losses and damages for MAHB’s alleged
breaches of its contractual duties and duty of care to AAB. The details of the alleged breaches
are set out below.

(a) Breach of contract for :

(i) failing to address overcapacity problem in LCCT;
(ii) failing to provide sufficient aircraft parking bays in LCCT;
(iii) failing to consult airline operators on klia2 development & expansion;
(iv) failing to maintain & operate secure, safe & efficient airport;
(v) failing to keep klia2 in good repair & condition;
(vi) failing to effect repairs and/or maintenance at klia2;
(vii) failing to consult AAB on prices charged before changes in charging system
introduced; and
(viii) failing to promote interest of users in respect of prices charged for.

(b) Breach of its duty of care/negligence for:

(i) Failure to consult AAB on klia2 operational issue & plan;
(ii) Failure to ensure safety; and
(iii) Failure to keep klia2 in good repair & condition.
