Toddlers under 90cm tall can enter the theme park for free.

Admission tickets are priced between RM128 and RM151 during the soft opening, as compared to the usual rate of between RM161 and RM189.

The theme park is offering 20 per cent discounts in conjunction with its soft opening launch from Feb 8 till March 31.

The theme park also offers children-friendly attractions such as the double-decker Blue Sky Carousel, Rio Carnaval Chaos! Teacups ride and the Samba Gliders, which climbs over 65 feet for the ultimate bird's-eye view of every corner of the Rio-themed side of the park.
Other attractions awaiting visitors are the Rio Centro Stage, where visitors get to shimmy away with Samba Urbana dancers and the Central Park: Lake of Dreams where visitors can unwind with their loved ones.

Among the available attractions at Genting Skyworlds Theme Park are the ESD Global Defender, where adventurers of all ages will get to board a "hybrid aerospace fighter plane" or view the breathtaking spread of the theme park from the top of the Terraform Tower Challenge.

The theme park, developed across 10ha, offers thrilling experiences based on blockbusters such as Planet of the Apes, Ice Age, Rio, Robots and Night at the Museum.

The settlement between the parties in 2019 grants GenM a licence to use certain intellectual properties belonging to Fox which include Ice Age, Night at the Museum and Planet of the Apes, among many others.The theme park, which was originally intended to be a 20th Century Fox World-branded park, was changed to Genting SkyWorlds after The Walt Disney Co acquired the Twenty-First Century Fox group of companies in 2018.

In July 2019, GenM told Bursa Malaysia that it had resolved its dispute with 20th Century Fox Film Corp, Fox Entertainment Group LLC, Twenty-First Century Fox Inc and The Walt Disney Co over the development of its outdoor theme park.

GenM was reported to have told attendees at the pre-opening preview of its long-awaited outdoor theme park, which had cost the group some US$800 million , that Genting SkyWorlds is scheduled to open to the public in February.

Genting operating unit Resorts World Genting has announced that the casino and hotel group's Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park in Malaysia has officially opened on Tuesday (Feb 8).
