@pensellor just a heads up, any future huge projects don't buy when news it out. How the market is, is that people tend to buy during rumours. Since iris was already rumoured to be a front runner, there was a rise already. therefore, the price has factored in that hey have got the project. tmr probably a rebound :)

never understood, neither will i ever understand the vaccine hype. Even overseas vaccine distributors and manufacturer counters do not move up that much. If overseas manufacturer counters don't move, u think a small country like Malaysia will earn a lot from vaccine distribution? Totally unreasonable growth.

tbh i think epf would need to sell anyways and they are choosing to sell the stocks that don't give good dividends anytime soon.. like tenaga, their next dividend is in march. In a situation where EPF needs money to prepare for the withdrawals, they would keep the stocks that have dividends or better turns soon. TG is one of the stocks that wont give a good dividend anytime soon, I think EPF would just slowly buy more shares int he future when the withdrawals have settled down.

@purebull not a glove hater, i am a buyer myself. however i think mrdiy is more sustainable than kossan int eh long run therefore their value is higher. unless any of the glove comes up with a sustainable business idea to sustain the numbers for the next 10 years, I don't think their value can stay higher than it is now let alone beat Mr diy

2)probably helps the price stay afloat

i wouldnt say tg is as good as tenaga long term. Energy will be in constant demand over the years. Demand for energy will only grow as time passes. Tenaga has a huge lead over any other energy producers in Malaysia alone and they are going into renewable energy as well. Not only they are having solid business now, but as a company they are looking years into the future on how they will sustain and grow their earnings.

just speaking from my perspective, the peak of top glove performance will be 2021FY. after that, performance will be lowered however the need for reinvesting into the business will be less. Dividend payouts will be better in year 2022 onwards. Just my perspective, feel free to tell any others too. not saying I'm correct hahaha

I'm still relatively new to trading in general and I started in this KLCI. Correct me if I'm wrong but why does the price of any counter drop after a good announcement? For example, with JF tech the price dipped by around 20% after the announcement of a deal with Huawei. Also the same thing with SuperMax and their recent fantastic QR. Is this normal in other markets as well? Back to the main point which is, what if the budget announces the NIIS project commencing and awarding it to iris, will iris go up? I apologize for my ignorance if I do seem so. :D
