Is the calculation above sounds about right?

ivan, you should be aware that Maybank is a government linked company. The reputation of government will inadvertently affects the confidence of investors.

Looking back at the history chart will definitely show you the highest price and makes you think I should sell RM9.15 at that time. But let me ask you, if the price today is RM9.15, will you ask yourself another question - "Should I hold and not sell because the price should be more than RM10?". We can only set our target, but we cannot exactly catch the highest point. It will be up to your own judgement call, whether you want to take the blue pill or the red pill.

For the second question, whenever the company issues rights share or new share, it will increase the market capital of the company. Because money is injected into the company to create those new shares. Do note that if a shareholder decided not to participate in the rights or DRP, their share will gets diluted. Par value is just a amount appear on the stock certificate, it has no connection to the market value.

EX-date of dividend is on 8-Oct. So, yes, it is expired.
The second question shows that you need some study on what is DRP.
In short, DRP or dividend reinvestment plan literally means, use issued dividend to buy new share.
Normally the new share will be at a discounted price (RM7.50) to attract investor to accept their DRP. In this way, issuer can keep the cash for their next plan. Investor can choose to accept their DRP or do nothing depending on the prospect of the issuer.
The last date for the DRF or dividend reinvestment form submission is on 29-Oct. So, it is expired too. If you did not fill in the form and send it, then by default, you should receive cash in full.

UY, you're right, their plan is to have 3 lines running by end of 2015. By calculation, they estimate production of 7,000 tonnes or 2,354KM of pipes by end of 2015. Datuk Richard Wong expect revenue of RM70-75 millions and average 20% profit margin for this year. However, the QR shows that the revenue is only at RM2.5 millions. Can they catch up? I doubt that.

On the other hand, TNB is buying 2MW of electricity at RM0.47/kWh for 16 years. I wonder why TNB are willing to buy at this rate, higher that most commercial or residence tariff. High rate also means TNB cannot buy more electricity even though FBG can produce more than 2MW. It is very hard to compete when the world fuel price is low.

The quarterly reports NEVER explains why HYPRO PVC-O pipe business is making more loss.
Bank loan has doubled assuming for purchasing of the pipe manufacturing property/equipment, and AHT Syngas in Netherland.

I'm guessing the expiry date falls around 22~27 May 2014
