Regarding GT, I entered at 0.84 and exited at 0.945 @40,000.

Re-entered again at 1.06 (average cost 1.043) and now I'm facing -RM200 paper loss @10,000.

All things considered, I still earned big profit from this counter.

If gambling and punting is all I ever do, then tell me what would you call it when I bought IFCAMSC for 0.195 and held it until it ballooned to RM1? Or when I bought INARI-WB in 2014 and waited until it went up to RM2? ALAM 0.675 and sold at 1.12. TAS 0.585 and sold at RM1.

Or recently, ARBB @0.335 and unloaded a big part of it at 0.56. Or how about ECONPILE @0.47?

All of those successful portfolios needed one common thing: holding power. If you don't have that, you can't invest over a sustained period of time.

Not many people know or have the heart to cut loss, probably because many don't have an exit strategy.

I learned the importance of cutting loss the hard way back in 2012 when I nearly lost all of my money in SILVERBIRD. Luckily it was only RM1,500 but it was surely an eye opener for me.

I will usually let my profit run its course, for as long as I want to.

You can almost always make 2-4 sens per week due to the fluctuations in this counter.

The best was 4 weeks ago when it started at 0.37 and stopped at 0.47 before playing between 43 and 46 lol!
