7. Profit before tax for the Group for quarter and financial year to 31 March 2014 rose
281.9% from RM1.5 million recorded in the corresponding quarter of preceding year to
RM5.7 million. The improved result was mainly attributable to lower commodities
price of raw materials used in production of feed.

8. On the development of our new layer farm in Pendang, Kedah, operation commenced in April 2013 and we had our first production in September 2013, marking our first venture into table egg production.
Thanks to meticulous planning and preparation, productivity for the first 6 months of production has been very satisfactory.
We expect production from the farm to reach 420,000 eggs per day by end of this year which shall contribute around 10% of our total Group revenue for the year. Development of the second phase of the layer farm is on schedule and when completed by early 2015 will double the current daily capacity to 850,000 eggs.
Following the development in our layer business, we expect the feedmill operation to increase its plant utilisation rate from 81% to 91% in tandem with increased feed requirement from our layer farm and expansion in milling service.
