三星共同首席執行員權五鉉表示：“隨著科技與汽車產業界線日漸模糊，科技公司與汽車業結盟有助開拓更多商機。”他認為三星的垂直整合企業結構有助公司在汽車零件市場創造“規模經濟”。

三星旗下電池事業三星SDI近日已和BMW簽約合作，且三星SDI收購第一毛織（Cheil Industries）也有助發展車用電池及其他車內資訊娛樂系統產品。

一名三星高層表示：“三星是全球領導汽車製造商最信任的零件供應商，因此我們認為公司在汽車零件市場有很大發展潛力。”一名美國投資銀行資深基金經理人透露：“三星接下來可能的收購對象是美國汽車零件商Delphi。”

LG近日也透過電池事業LG化學和谷歌及BMW建立合作關係。LG在1年前創立汽車零件事業後，隨

即在今年加入“開放汽車聯盟”（OAA），將與奧迪、通用、本田、福斯、雷諾、福特等汽車大廠共同推廣車用Android平台。（星洲網受国能和综合保健控股下跌所拖累，马股早盘表现不理想，休市跌8.10点至1868.95点。
