MMC Corp: Gets RM1.5bn Langat sewage treatment plant job. MMC Corporation has won a six-year RM1.5bn contract to build the Langat centralised sewage treatment plant. It said that it would also construct a sewer pipe network in the Langat river basin catchment. It said the design and build job was awarded to the MMC-Sumitomo Consortium by the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry on Oct 9. “The project is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of MMC Group commencing from the FYE Dec 31, 2015,” it said. The company said the project would not have any effect on its share capital and shareholdings of substantial shareholders. (StarBiz)
