duit ... buy on dip is always a good approach but how far will price pull back ?? will it stop at the black horizontal line or somewhere in the yellow box ?? some count waves .. some check fibo retracement ... some look out for reversal candlestick .. some wait for bullish MA crossover on lower TF etc etc !! try to avoid the anguish of averaging down when there is no sign of imminent uptrend continuation yet ... what say u ?

maddie ... ps share more cuz i am always interested to learn how fellow traders swing ! although i only use waves occasionally (the very clear ones ..) i am still interested to see how others use them to trade :) i am more into price action now cuz i want to keep the chart and interpretation as simple as possible (less ambiguity better decision making) !

2. those that run very fast last hour before QR announced (which normally is shark distribute to ikan bilis die) eg: Harbour today, Vis and EG previous QR.

rchi ... our bursa is one of a kind !! i think MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, bad QR means price goes up first before release and then give everyone a SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE ... eg, spotted a nice chart last nite on harbour and indeed price gapped up in the morning .. but when i checked last nite for QR release it's today and so i did not buy :( now latest announcement red report card .. let's see tomorrow what will happen !!! same same AAX - price soared before the not-so-rosy QR is released ... if good QR means, price will still shoot up some but then very quickly gains will be reversed (as per what that author says) !!

How You Can Use This
So we can conclude that buying a stock based on a news event (eg QR release) is not a very good idea, because by the time the news comes out its too late and the majority of the move has taken place and its going to be dropping in price very soon, within 5 days or less.
So the really interesting thing is that learning that a SHARP volume increase not based on a news event was by far the best time to enter a trade in the direction of the move because the odds are 20% or less the stock will decrease and result in a losing trade. This is pretty exciting news!

1) prob of win - HIGH
2) average win - HIGH
3) prob of loss - LOW
4) average loss - LOW

simple math - HIGH minus LOW is still POSITIVE EXPECTANCY => so, VERY OKAY
