In February 2014 the Company signed a Letter of Intent with a strategic Asian investor involving a potential farm-in to the Rengat PSC. In July 2014 a binding Investment Agreement (as amended 18 August 2014) was signed with this investor, New Century Energy Resources Limited (NCE) containing a provision for the farm-out of the PSC. The parties will work together to achieve a farm-out of the Rengat PSC during the next financial year.The Rengat PSC covered an area of 2,995 square kilometres. During the year the Company relinquished 600 square kilometres (20%) in line with the terms of the Rengat Production Sharing Contract. The relinquished areas were considered the most non-prospective areas within the Rengat PSC acreage. The PSCs size is now 2,395 square kilometres. The Rengat PSC was awarded on 9 November 2009. Leading up to this the company completed a joint study with MiGas, an Indonesian Government owned energy regulator entity. The results of this study have defined an area of 2,995 square kilometres encompassing coal seams averaging 3-5 meters thick and from 450 to 1550m in depth in the Central Sumatra basin, known as the Rengat area.Preliminary studies of the concession area have suggested that coal properties are suitable for CBM exploitation and commercial production and rank favourably with comparable global CBM producing basins. There is considerable existing oil field and gas pipeline off-take infrastructure in the area and this should facilitate any future developments.Further Geological and Geophysical (G&G) studies carried out by NuEnergy have located a coal seam within the PSC area of 15 metres thick on a continuous basis.
