No right issue. the asset is acquired 25% discounted from market price now
2021-06-04 21:30 | Report Abuse
really impressive acquisition. They are lucky that repsol is existing due to their focus on green energy or else will not be getting this price. Exxon is asking for USD1-2bil for their asset.
2021-06-02 23:50 | Report Abuse
Totally agreed. With the current oil price at 2 years high...i can't see how this could be bad news.

Hibiscus beat rival bidder Medco Energi of Indonesia for the assets. However, Repsol did not disclose the agreed sales price. But energy consultancy Rystad told Energy Voice that the sales value of the assets is estimated between $250 million and $300 million.
Hibiscus only bought USD212.5Mil. straight away making 15% on asset appreciation. Putih putih RM100mil negative goodwill. Haha. Because they close the deal months back where the oil price still USD50

really don't understand how it can be bad? if you read their QR, their cost only USD10 per barrel. The production cost for these fields maybe higher but with USD70 brent oil now, they can make hell out of money!!!
2021-06-02 17:23 | Report Abuse
Honestly Oil at USD70 it is hard to say it is not a good deal. Game changer for Hibiscus.

2021-06-02 10:15 | Report Abuse
no logic for it to fly...malaysia case still sky high...oil price at 2 years high...simply not logic for it to shoot up
