Probably some people got worried by global macro and want to take some money off the table? amidst sell down, think of it that for every seller, there were buyers. Would say that sell down well absorbed.

the only way this can fail or prompt a price revision is if someone bids up the price to above RM2 and sustains selling pressure (in which i will gladly sell to you), otherwise its just all talk.

Lets reexamine some of the point on what led to the privatization of MMC and current predicament.
Why instead of Port business was supposed to be listed but suddenly didn't materialized. why did TSSM pivot to privatizing MMC instead? believe it was mentioned in an Edge article quoting running into issue with regulator listing the port due to multiple crossholding. Any other reason?
What's the urgency of listing port? debt restructuring? lowering of interest payment? they are paying RM457mil of interest in 2020 alone after all. Any other reason?
Why did SCR was chosen instead of a standard GO? Why an extension of time were given to MMC by the offeror? Did MMC request for it? Has the board deliberated over the offer? Assuming if this failed without going to shareholder's hands to vote, can the board member be held liable for failing their fiduciary duty?

In case you don't know. Astro offers Netflix/Disney HS/HBO as well. Rather than paying all 3 and have 3 different interface, you can just subscribe to astro package and view everything on a single platform. They've also allow mobile streaming. Do read up what's their plan in annual report.
Also, don't forget, astro is strong in their sports content offering. Their astro go shop is also growing. They've also offers local content i.e. their radio station. Hitz, MY, ERA, Lite, Melody etc.
Don't confuse by one of their transmission technology (dish) with the nature of their business. They have already pivoted to include broadband albeit HSBB is still fairly price inhibiting to most consumer (not referring to those unifi 30mbps but rather 300/500mbps which is required to stream 4k content). Believe they will indirectly benefit as gov continues to lower broadband prices across the board.
