KUALA LUMPUR (Apr 4): Datasonic Group Bhd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd (DTSB) had won a RM5.4 million contract from the Penang Municipal Council (Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang).

In a statement to the exchange today, Datasonic said DTSB was required to supply, install and maintain closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in Penang.

The CCTV contract commences from April 8, 2014 to July 28, 2020.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings and net assets per share of Datasonic group for the

financial period ending 31 March 2015 and the financial periods thereafter for the duration of the contract and will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of Datasonic group," the company said.
