KUALA LUMPUR: Penyedia penyelesaian teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi, Datasonic Group Bhd memperkenalkan mesin pengimbas generasi baharu dikenali sebagai 'Dsonic eGate' yang mampu mengesan sehingga 98 peratus ketepatan wajah di pintu masuk negara.

Pengarah Pembangunan Perniagaan Datasonic, C Doshi, berkata mesin itu sebenarnya adalah untuk kegunaan Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia (JIM) di mana mereka hanya perlu meletakkan seorang pegawai untuk bertugas sekiranya mempunyai mesin ini.

"Sebanyak 140 mesin telah dipasang membabitkan lokasi pemeriksaan imigresen di seluruh Malaysia sejak 2018," kata beliau.

Doshi berkata, mesin berkenaan telah dipamerkan di Kongres Dunia Inovasi dan Teknologi dan Persidangan Ekonomi Digital Antarabangsa Sarawak (WCIT/IDECS) 2023 di Kuching, baru-baru ini.

Menurut beliau, DGB menawarkan mesin itu kepada Kerajaan Sarawak dalam usaha memperkasa keselamatan sempadan antara negeri berkenaan dengan Indonesia.

"Mesin berkenaan boleh digunakan di dua Stesen Imigresen, Kastam, Kuarantin dan Keselamatan (ICQS) di sempadan Sarawak dan Kalimantan Barat iaitu masing-masing di Kampung Sapit, Padawan dan Kampung Gumbang, Bau," kata beliau.

Doshi berkata, Kerajaan Sarawak sedang di dalam transformasi pendigitalan 2030 yang mana ia perlu bermula daripada perkhidmatan awam kerajaan.

"Sarawak boleh menggunakan mesin ini di sempadan dengan Kalimantan di mana pelawat dari Indonesia ke Malaysia atau pelawat dari Malaysia ke Indonesia boleh menggunakan mesin ini untuk mendapat pengesahan pasport dengan pantas dan efisien yang memudahkan mereka untuk bergerak masuk dan keluar," katanya.

Menurutnya, mesin itu mampu meningkatkan keberkesanan dan kecekapan sistem keselamatan sempadan antara Sarawak dengan Kalimantan memandangkan wilayah itu bakal menjadi ibu negara baharu Indonesia.

Selain itu, pihaknya turut menawarkan penggunaan mesin tersebut di lokasi pemeriksaan imigresen Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuching (KIA) bagi ketibaan pelawat dari semenanjung Malaysia.

"Kita mencadangkan agar mesin ini dipasang di lokasi pemeriksaan kemasukan pelawat dari semenanjung Malaysia yang datang ke Sarawak.

"Ini kerana, buat masa ini mereka yang masuk menggunakan kad pengenalan kemudiannya mendapat slip kemasukan yang mudah untuk hilang.

"Jadi menerusi mesin ini, di mana dari segi pendigitalan mereka masuk dengan memasukkan kad pengenalan dan seterusnya akan dapat slip yang dihantar ke e-mel menerusi telefon mereka," kata Doshi.
