KUALA LUMPUR (June 28): Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd shares jumped 11.11% this morning after its 51%-owned subsidiary Perisai Offshore Sdn Bhd has executed a contract that gives it about 20 months more to provide the service of its jack-up drilling rig PP101 to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
At 9.18am, Perisai added 0.5 sen to 5 sen with 1.48 million shares traded.
The supplementary contract will extend the duration of PP101's service on a formula to be agreed on between the parties, dependent on the prevailing market rate for the daily charter, Perisai said.
The original contract for the provision of the rig's service to Petronas Carigali for a three-year period had been secured on May 8, 2014.
