MM market making hours for HSI afternoon session has been extended to 4.28pm instead of 4.13pm. Please take note.
HSI warrants : 9.15am to 11:58am, 2:30pm to 4.28pm

Most HSI index warrants holders lost money because they don't even know that that there is time-decayed bid price built into the price matrix, they just dumb-dumb hold it for weeks or months and hoping can recoup their losses. When you bought a warrant which is against the trend or the HSI just walk like ketam (side way), then you have to cut it. The longer you hold the bigger the losses.

On Monday the bid price could be higher than 0.12 also at future 22000 if there are many investors buying/selling it, as there is another factor (volatility) affecting the bid price, MM can increase the volatility factor in their market-making system then the bid price will increase.

flying, it has nothing to do with bull or bear market prediction, MM always sells in high premium when she launched the warrants and the price will decay overtime, that's time-decayed price factor built into the price matrix. She got a standard formula to set the bid price based on how far the difference of settlement level to the exercise level and how close to the expiry. That's why it is not advisable to touch those out of inventory warrants as there is no standard reference. Speculator can simply jack up the price ridiculously, like one time when C21 was worth only 0.085 based on MM price matrix but the bid price jacked up to 0.115.
On Monday say Future is at 22000, I think that the bid price of C21 will be 0.115 to 0.120 due to time-decay factor even though last Friday the bid price at the same level is 0.17.

flying, for call is (HSI cash settlement level - exercise level) / conversion ratio X FX rate. For put is (Exercise level - HSI cash settlement level) / conversion ratio X FX rate.

Flying, MM always sells at high premium even though it is a toilet paper, businessman want to untung also mah. If MM sells C21 at 0.005, by the time HSI close 22300 on expiry, then MM will rugi besar lor, that's why it has to sell 300-500 points higher premium.

flying, (22300-22000)/900 x 0.52 = 0.1733 based on HK FX rate now at 0.52

flying, if your C21 already untung say at 0.17, then you better sell it on Monday. As the best case HSI future will close on 28/July is 22430 and average should be 22300. At 22300, c21 worth about 0.173, so why not sell it first and you can use the capital to invest again rather than locked down by the banker for 7 working days.

flying, the banker is just one of the players in the market. During normal time, she may rig the market according to what she wants, but during bull/bear run time, she can not as the market force is too huge to handle and she doesn't got so much capital to rig the market. At that time, it is market driven. So don't believe in the fallacy that the banker can control the market all the time.
Yesterday HSI index warrants trading ratio of bull:bear is 41:59, usually the index will go against the ratio for short term period, that means HSI will still up next week.

flyingkite, the settement cash for index warrant is based on the settlement level on expiry, the average of last 5 days is applicable to equity warrant. C21 expire on 29.July, if on that day HSI future still above 22000, it is still worth something.

C21 at least got market maker participation, there is a standard price matrix for reference, at what future level u know what is the price. H33 can simply jack up very high and at the end the one who bought will get hit badly when the trend is against it.

Bing Feng, it is not a crash for HSI, just a minor pull-back why offer 24% premium for it? No wonder many people losing money in HSI index warrants, simply buy simply lose. No eyes see lor...

I still don't understand why some people can offer so high price for HSI-H33 which is out of inventory, at HSI futures 21950, the bid price from market maker should be 0.125 but now some people offer 0.155. Belum untung sudah rugi besarlah.

When you want to buy a call/put index warrant, check what is the fair bid price from the market maker website first, you can offer 1 bid higher to buy, don't offer higher than that. I have seen that the fair bid price is 0.13 but some buy at 0.15, you are paying 1.5 cent extra which is about 11% premium. This situation usually happens when the warrant is out of inventory, before 9.15am or after 4.13pm when the market maker matching system is offline. When a warrant is out of inventory, the market maker can not offer a fair selling price, so some investors can jack up the buy/sell price.

One very ridiculous case was HSI-C21 when the fair bid price was 0.085 but some bought it at 0.115 instead of 0.09, paying 27.8% extra! Trade what you know, don't trade if you don't know.
