Hi valuegrowth, of course monthly statistic would increase the transparency and AA will get higher PE as reward. But I don't think it's suitable for AA to do this until the they can be integrated into single entity. If they practice this right now, efficiency would be a problem where HQ would hv to wait for subsidiaries to submit their respective reports then consolidate them into one. If one of the subsidiaries failed to deliver on time, you would get delayed then raise public doubt on AA financial capabilities, this would be reverse effect .

which would be 700 X 4.4 = RM3 billions. 1.5 times of its 2016 historical yearly profit just in 1 deal.

including debt = acquisition is including total liability + total assets. The debt condition would still remain after the take over
excluding debt = acquisition is for total assets only. The old debt would belongs to the previous owner.

logically it should be including debt. Its 4Q16 debt was 859M, if the deal is excluding debt.
900M - 859M = 41M, it would discount more than half from its total equity. Only an idiot would give 50% discount over his more than 20% ROE business.

Seem like many have assumed that 900M is the value of majority stake but not the whole valuation.
My simple translation to this acquisition is you have to value the whole entity first, regardless it's 100% acquisition or majority stake acquisition, only then you can bargain based on your budget.

We also can't simply make a conclusion that from now on, 900M is the minimum valuation. Different bidders would have different proposals and appetites. A simple figure of 900M won't have enough info to allow others to adjust their bid price for better bid.

The beneficiary would still be AA under the premise that 900M is real and the takeover is including debt.

4Q16 report stated that the total equity of AAC is solely 87.5M.
Even with the presumption that AAC would double from the 4Q PAT for the next 2 quarters (AAC sales is expected to be settled at 2Q17),
87.5 + (28.5 X 2) X 2 = 201.5M
AA would have nearly 700M net gain from this purchase.

However, analysts don't think the same way as we did. 900M is lower than many analysts assumption, The risk of lower the target price from them is there.

I think we have to admit that in terms of market sentiment, 900M is not a good figure,
lets see if there is a better deal from China or somewhere else.

Capital control would never be a problem to china bidders.
China need new planes to feed their growing aviation industry but none of the major civil transport aircraft manufacturers are came from China.
If not acquire AAC, they still need to spend foreign currency to purchase new aircraft.
There is no point to put aviation sector under their capital control coverage, else they would kill their aviation industry.

900M (my translation to this news is 100% stake takeover if not explicitly specified) is relatively smaller than many analysts prediction, hopefully AAC could get a better deal from china.

(My hometown is also too far away to collect those hard copy slips)

However,no enforcement would be taken until they failed to lodged the financial statement for 3 consecutive financial yrs. Hence, 2015 & 2016 not yet lodged by Malindo is possible.

valuegrowth, I'm not sure for that. E-info suppose to have their latest lodged document, however E-info is not owned by SSM, they out source this service to third party by connecting to their local database via web service, the most updated info is guarantee can be checked via SSM counters.
If you have enough time, you can walk-in to any SSM counters to do company info checking. They have a system called IDAMAN which stored all scanned copy of the every lodged documents.

To view for these scanned document, they would charge RM5 for each company with no limitation on lodged years and form type.
But purchase for hard copy is another charges.

Investo, don't just jump here jump there with your shining historical I3 buy/sell call comments which could be manipulated by deleting old comments.....without a valid gain/loss profile from financial institute , these are not so called track record. Show ppl the proof how much you gain pls.

I just spend RM25 for Malindo latest lodged financial statement.
They are still red in finanacial yr 2014, not sure abt 2015 & 2016 as these 2 yrs haven't been lodged to SSM.
