Exactly! i did not use the air conditioner more - exactly the same as all other times. And I paid my March bill before the MCO, April & May bills were ok but they billed us for June when the bill arrived on 4 June! That bill was double than the usual!

This is a drug to reduce the viral load.
Two other areas of concern are replication of the virus and the immune system's noted over reaction to the perceived aggressiveness -- Covid-19 -- of the novel Corona virus in the epithelial cells and lymph nodes.
The over reaction may cause cold, cough, fever, pneumonia, low oxygen, high CO2 levels, breathing difficulties, blood clots, kidney problems, complications and systemic distress.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR..... This is what one might call “providential" Malthusianism.
Remember Malthus? No? Never heard of him?
Well, start reading .. ..
This “pruning” drivel is simply crude and crass Social Darwinism.
Heard of that?
And ideas of “herd immunity” as a considered and justifiable strategy are simply that too .. ..

A humble man indeed. What stood out was the mixing with people from other cultures and races during your schooling and Uni days. This is something sadly lacking in Malaysia today. Very best wishes for your future Professor!

You are absolutely right mate. I always said that the whole civil service poor performance is due to staffing it with a single race. In the past, a multi-racial service was highly efficient and professional. What make it worse is that promotion are based on connection to politicians or whom you know and not how effective and efficient you are. As a result, you see many incompetent and lazy people who get promoted over those are are more deserving and could do a much better job. After five years of civil service, I have had enough and left to join the private sector. Never regret it for a single day.

Good day mates, It is appalling.... I am an Australian passport holder- and we generally get 90 days on arrival in Malaysia- I have been coming here for 20 years, often. I was about to get married to my Malaysian wife in March (registration postponed by JPN due to lockdown). We have been together for many years, finally got married in June, after lockdown, but a spousal visa can not be applied for before 6 months' of marriage (which is inhumane also, in my book- does that mean a newly wed must leave his spouse/family behind ??).
I also have had a job offer, which secures/generates 24 immediate jobs (in turn generating many downstream jobs) for Malaysians and considerable local investment. The employer applied for the expat workers visa before lockdown, however the application had lapsed in the system during MCO and needs to be 're-loaded'- which I have been told for weeks will happen 'next week' via the immigration agent. I tried to make an appointment to see Immigration, but they are too busy to provide a slot- it seems and are booked out till August-no confirmation email yet.
Of course it will be inhumane and cruel to seperate my wife from myself, as if I am a criminal, or afflict that any tourist for that matter- already here. It makes no sense to force tourists into closed quarters with others because of a black swan event, they could not for see. On top of that, no flights exist going back to Perth ( my residential city prior to marriage) if I search 400 airlines for the foreseeable future-possibly up to next year.
I also love Malaysia (I kept donating blood for instance during this time to keep people alive- with blood stocks were very low). I love the friendly Malaysian people and do not wish to be detained or deported or have the local jobs lost or uproot my family exposing them to a higher risk of contraction of the virus being on a plane or in quarantine on arrival, with no prospect of returning in the short term.
If countries can take in refugees and asylum seekers, why could Malaysian Immigration not grant clemency to healthy visitors/spouses or investors that are already in some way, investing here. These visa's or the right to stay, will have to be extended on a blanket basis until the world is normal again, or you will see people being reluctant to return ever again, let alone invest and may disinvest from the country completely.
A pandemic is tough enough, manage the virus- don't punish the countries benefactors.
Come Kawan..write in and help your fellow human beings haa...Yikes

No, mate, the middle class, which many Malays have become today, would want a clean corruption-free government. Time is changing, we are no longer living in the past. It is about moving ahead, bettering one-self and if possible to have successful endeavor. We cannot have that with a corrupt government who plunder the country and leave nothing for the masses. Race and religion are good but they can only go so far to provide the food on the table.

If Mahathir is again PM-designate, we might as well let Muhyiddin continue as PM. There is no difference between the two.
Mahathir will continue to do as he pleases and listen only to himself and his behind-the-scene advisors like former finance minister Daim Zainuddin.

Good day mate! In the US the black who was brought as slaves and their descendant thereafter, remained marginalised.
In Malaysia, some of the descendants of migrant labours from China and India end up as billionaires and controlling the nation's economy.

Over the years, racism in Malaysia is already an acceptable norm. It is a not new normal. The minority "pendatang" must submit to the majority sons of the soil even though some came from elsewhere not too distance away. The minority cannot hold any important government posts. The majority cannot vote in the minority in any general election. And it is haram according to a bigotry political leader.

Crikey “Malaysia, for example, ranks 12 out of 184 countries in the recovery index”
The recovery rate is more a measure of good luck (and possibly climate, low disease incidence in comparison to the systems ability to cope) than it is of medical expertise
So that statistic is meaningless, yikes

SunnyWong mate, There was not any insinuation that racism does not exist merely that this post is disingenuous in its angle.
I enjoy the fact that you bring in the “undercurrent, but it is there in our heart”. If we were to be held accountable for all thoughts that go through our mind but are not acted upon then almost every Man in the world would be in a whole lot of trouble. It’s that sort of none quantifiable thinking that is the problem.
Racism is indeed a very personal situation and I will stand right next to you to fight it but this is a newspaper article with a very sensationalist headline without context. If this stopped one family of HKers from moving to the U.K. then that is in the Author.
Racism is not acceptable and I would reasonably state that the diversity of other countries would suggest a greater tolerance, indeed the diversity of Government and society is greater in places like the United Kingdom and the US than any others.yikes....
