issue share price cannot be used for lower limit reference. tropicana given private placement to EPF at a lower price than the market price but then the share price even breakdown far below the issued price. This was what i observed. Correct me if i am wrong.

A year long legal disputes over a 51% stake in Stamford College Bhd’s t two subsidiaries brought by IRIS is likely to end by May 2014.

Closure of the case will be good news for IRIS, a 25.6% owned by FELDA, as the profits realised by Stamford College can then be consolidated into the group’s bottom line.

Nonetheless, IRIS plans to tie up with Stamford College to help with the implementation of its Rimbunan Kaseh programme, an extension of its Sentuhan Kasih project.

Earlier, IRIS signed a MOU with Stamford College and Federation University, Australia to launch the Higher Education 1 Malaysia programme, which allows students to pursue diploma and degree programmes in business, hospitality, law, applied management, IT or Accounting and finance at Stamford College.

Iris Corp (IRIS) – Not Rated

Yesterday, IRIS’s share price snapped a 5 day losing streak to close with strong

gains on news that the company had entered into an MOU with Handan

Municipality for the replication and implementation of the Rimbunan Kaseh Project,

an agro-economy farming prototype in the city of Handan, PRC. The share price

was up 5.5 sen (+10.5%) to 58 sen for the day. Chart-wise, IRIS had rebounded

from the confluence of support levels between the 20-day SMA and the channel

support line. In addition, a “Marubozu” candlestick was formed signalling that buying

momentum is set to continue over the next few days. From here, we expect IRIS to

retest its recent high of 63 sen (R1) fairly soon. Should this level be taken out,

further gains could be expected till 72 sen (R2).
