Chill. Its christmas break. IBs is selling its profit and loss account for consolidate its year end PNL. By the way EPF sell off is expected when they announce it a month ago that they need to sell assets to fund account 1 drawdown.

Santa rally is real...while most of the IB is consolidating it year end account, with merely 12m volume from retailer can push Hibi from 55c to 58c.. sometime even 100m daily trade couldnt get1c up for Hibi.. Ho Ho Ho~!

IB will certainly come back, they won't just sit out for a qtrly multibillions profit company and do nothing. Beside it probably pay 16c or more dividend for the nxt 3 qtr.. How long can IB tahan..

Just Hold until Jan...IBs went for an early Christmas holiday, will be back on 2021. Meanwhile we will get 2.5% dividend yield for 3 week holding. Cheers

Sitting comfortably with 3 billion cash.

I think sharks is cashing out now..thats why even with good pricing and vaccine news, they arent so excited as before anymore..back in July..with merely 43USD they could push to 70c.. but now even with USD50 oil price, we still linger at 60c+..but it's a good time for small buyer to add their position..with 48 to 50+USD oil price. Hibi 4Q should be much better than previous Qtr

@CoolJay @ my average price is 6.75, should TG get the same return as last Qtr, you may expect a 50c of Trailing EPS and with TG lowest PE is 15, we should get around 7.50.

@newbie, if based on uncle lim 6% dividend estimation for 2021 based on RM6.65 is correct, the EPS for 2021 will be 0.798. The current price is 6.75/0.798, it's only 8x PE.

So it's much better to buyback shares now than payback loan.

However, it's just my 2 cents, we may not get 798 PE due to above factor I've mention above

@newbie, total loan for TG is only 540m, but they use 1.2b to buy back shares..

@staedy, according to Uncle Lim, he estimates the dividend for nxt year is 6% of RM6.65(the day he make announcement is 25/11) hence, 6.65x6% @ 0.399

As we know that TG normally paid out 50% of its profit as dividend, hence 2021 EPS should be 0.399x2 @ 0.798 EPS. Lowest PE of TG is 15x, hence if you times 15 x 0.798. Its equal to RM11.97 in 2021.

Above calculation is based on the latest qtr report we had, of coz the estimated price may change due to raw material price increase, lesser x of PE investor paying, cancel order or longer down time in factory..

U cant turn away when a company used 1.2b to buy back his own shares and Uncle Lim using his influence as chairman of Tropicana to buy 70m worth of share right before Qtr report.. if you read between the line, we might seen a record beating qtr with some dividend..have uncle mention 6% of dividend for 2021, 6.80x6% @ 40c... if split it into 4Q maybe we might get a 10c dividend

Do bear in mind that Tropicana themself have 2b debt in hand with soft construction market, why do they wanted to risk 70m of cash in order to help Uncle Lim sustain TG share price

Uncle Lim starting to buy back share since Sept, it might indicate that we are going to see another record setting Qtr result
