Revenue rose 33.7% to RM1.29 billion from RM967.99 million. The group declared an interim dividend of 0.5 sen to be paid on March 2, 2023.

VS Industry Bhd's net profit for the first quarter ended Oct 31, 2022 jumped 54% to RM60.71 million from RM39.39 million a year earlier, due mainly to higher sales orders from existing key customers.

Vitrox Corp Bhd’s net profit for 3QFY22 grew 20.4% to RM50.84 million from RM42.21 million a year ago, on the back of the stronger US dollar and favourable product mix. Revenue increased 10.3% to RM185.58 million from RM168.29 million due to continuous strong demand from Automated Board Inspection.

The semiconductor manufacturer attributed this to better average selling prices coupled with the appreciation of the US dollar versus the ringgit and yuan.

Unisem (M) Bhd's net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2022 (3QFY22) rose 53.3% to RM61.73 million from RM40.27 million a year earlier. Revenue rose to RM439.69 million from RM366.36 million previously.

Bursa Malaysia said the ACE Market company will be transferred on Friday, Dec 23, and its stock short name will be QES and stock number 0196.

QES Group Bhd is set to be transferred to the Main Market of Bursa Securities under the “Industrial Products & Services” sector.

The group is exploring to manufacture autonomous vehicle-related chip testers, and currently finalising the projects on electric vehicles battery cell emulators. The group also ventures into the front-end semiconductor manufacturing business and has already secured qualification for several components. More front-end manufacturing related projects are in the pipeline

UWC also updated that it has commenced mass production for 5G millimetre-wave testers while the progress of vehicle-to-vehicle testers production set-up remains on track.

UWC Bhd's net profit grew 27% in the first quarter ended Oct 31, 2022 (1QFY2023), thanks to the appreciation of the US dollar against the ringgit and an expansion in capacity to cater for the rising order book from the semiconductor industry.
