Interesting findings thanks for the info bullbear. But on the same argument, if other premium airlines are cheaper than AA which I noticed sometimes because of last minute ticket purchase (for AA they offer cheaper tickets if you buy days/months earlier) people would still buy AA which show their confidence in AA(may be)? For me I know why I still buy (last minute) AA eventhough it's slightly more expensive because no or very few airlines can actually match AA's flight frequency and connectivity. I think that's why they are expanding like crazy.....

Yes AA's revenue will definitely be affected to some degree after Malindo starts operation and only the stronger will survive. Not saying anyone here is right or wrong but I am just a bit skeptical about Malindo's business model. It sounds very attractive and rosy by providing full service with low fare but if I am not mistaken AA's operating cost is the lowest in the world. Can Malindo compete with higher operating cost (free food and drinks, aerobridge, higher pay for staff etc...)?? Only time will tell......

Could not agree more. Until they actually start operating, AA is basically business as usual and the 4th quarter is always the strongest.

Don't think the problem is as bad as we think.

The audit issues are mainly just outdated operations manuals so i was told. Eg post holder names, new better practiced policies but not updated in the books.

Greeting all sifus another newbie here. Learnt a lot from this forum. AA made much more money in q3 so it is good but not sure how good. Any help??
