His irresponsible words should remind all of us that words matter. He is a divisive and selfish leader who has had too much say for far too long. It is time for us to make his ideas and words irrelevant.

There are so many groups out there who have been and are still being brainwashed. They hear what they hear on a daily basis because they are not exposed to any other culture. This applies to all ethnicities in Malaysia.

The best thing that all of us can do is go out there and work on eradicating racism in our society. Speak and interact with people of all backgrounds. Be kind, be considerate, say hello, offer a hand, a smile, a story.

Hopefully in x years, our future generations will experience a different kind of Malaysia. One that recognises everyone for who they are: Malaysians.

To the retailers who are lobbying for the Gomen to retract on terminating the contract, please stop. You're making it only worse. Look at what it drove Tony Pua to write. I believe Gamuda's management is not sitting on their laurels and they are scrambling to rectify this. If Gamuda does not recover this job, they will find other ways to make up for it. Ive lost tens of thousands on paper in the last few days. The irritation is nagging but some things take time.

Ps - can we stop blaming this on LGE? His (and the cabinet's) decision may have inconvenienced some of us but now we know why he was tasked with this job. Tun M knew whoever the finance minister is during this critical period will be getting the worse brunt of the people. Personally, I am not happy with him either because my investment returns have never looked worse but we have to give credit when credit is due. He's doing the job he promised all Malaysians he would do: Bring Malaysia's finances back on track.

Looks like Gomen is doing a bang up job. As a retailer I used to believe I could count on the Gomen to support the investor confidence index but times are different now. We are on our own.

I don't know how many members actually bother to read about non-investing articles posted here on KLSE investor but I personally do. And I have to say, I was taken aback when I read the recent article posted by Koon Yew Yin.

With all due respect, KYY is a superior investor. At a delicate time like this, when stocks are falling left and right, I wish he would go back to writing about how investors should navigate the stock market. Instead, he posted an article about his deceased brother who committed suicide. The story was meant to be a reminder to those who are or could be suffering from depression to seek help but it came out all tattered around its edges.

As a trained mental health practitioner, I thought the article was written in poor taste. The article lacked check and balance on how patients who are experiencing depression symptoms should seek help, the kind of help they can expect to receive and what a typical treatment process would look like.

KYY painted a picture of his brother as an intelligent man who was bad at financial management and poor decision making skills when it came to choosing life partners. I don't know his brother but I thought it was unfair that his brother is unable to defend himself in this article. There were also information hinted at who his brother's children are and where they live. I am sorry to say this but I think that crosses the line of privacy for surviving family members in suicide cases.

I think it is commendable that KYY wants to help those who are or could be entertaining suicidal thoughts but the right advice to those who could be experiencing depression is not to read through pointers in an article or attempt to do self-help when they are at the brink of suicide - rather, they should seek out and talk to someone qualified who can walk them through what they are experiencing in the Here and Now. If they are unwilling to go to a clinic or hospital to see a mental health professional and has no one to talk to, please pick up the phone and call the Befrienders 24-hour hotline at 03-79568144/45.

The falling price make no sense when you compare it with the fundamentals. There are obviously a lot of speculators making their rounds, trying to make a quick buck but have no cash to pick up. I bought some Gamuda today, perhaps a tad too soon but value investors know that Gamuda is a solid company.
