# rchi - you are doing the right thing by doing nothing. At times we just have to let our minds wander around aimlessly, freely and peacefully.
Hopefully ting2 is an obedient girl.

# scjm - seen. He's making himself so stressed up over a trivial matter. However it's comforting to see a lot of people coming out to support him. I thought of doing so also but would rather remain in my own home.
It would be interesting to see the the window dressing activities in the next two days. As I mentioned t the real KC this morning, I do not see the atmosphere of bullishness this time, unlike previous bulls. Thus have to be wary.

# scjm - in fact the first time he spotted the LBS warrant was on 2nd August when it was 49 sen. Still a plus if based on today's prices. Thus there is no need for him to feel bad although he made another recommendation at a higher price, probably just below 70 sen. At the current price, just a few sen drop. No big issue though - it' snot disastrous like so many other counters.

# scjm - this is what he posted. Like you, he is also rather disppointed with the management who seem to be not supporting the price.
Posted by Ooi Teik Bee > Nov 30, 2013 02:25 PM | Report Abuse
Yes. LBS is trending side way with upward bias. The uptrend is not confirmed yet until the price can cross 1.70, then the uptrend is partly confirmed.
Definition of uptrend - Higher high and higher low.
Currently, the stock price rebounds, the current high is 1.70. Once the stock crosses and stay above 1.70, then higher high is formed. I will say that uptrend is partly confirmed (50% right only).
When the stock price retraces, it cannot break the current low of 1.55. If it breaks, uptrend is void. Assume the low is 1.60 and it starts to rebound, then higher low is formed. This stock is confirmed to be a up trending stock.
Hope it explains.
Thank you.

# scjm - good morning kawan. Please find link below - just for your information only

I reckon that OoiTB should not be too hard on himself. Just one miss out of 10 is a remarkable achievement. Anyway it is still too early to write it off as I am holding quite a bit (with a few sen loss).

# Hot.T - if I am not mistaken our rchi doesn't touch speculative penny counters. However the other Rich is good in this area as can be seen by his top position in the stock challenge.

# KC(space)Loh - noted your comments. However if you look at the current scenario, despite the index at a record high, I do not really feel the "bullish" atmosphere this time round, unlike previous "bull" periods. It is also reflected in the ratio of up and down counters every day. Perhaps my concerns are unwarranted but I am taking a conservative stand by reducing my exposure to preserve capital and go for quick trades (luckily with rchi around) for the time being. I may not be right though.

# rchi - curry mee ? I too like Maggi curry mee but you should try the new improved version of Mamee (called Mamee Chef) which offers 3 types Thai Tom Yam, Spicy Chicken Shiitake, and Curry Laksa. The curry laksa tastes similar to those sold at hawker stalls but less spicy. If you prefer the Penang type look for My KUali Instant Curry but they are only available at Sogo.

# rchi - right. Can make good money but also can be the other way round. Thus being a small and conservative trader, I rarely play with warrants all this while. Also need a strong heart to withstand the turbulence :)

# tony - as I am not familiar with warrants, I follow rchi's call. We just went in about 2 days ago. I took some at 3.16 and later 3.13. In the event that the price falls, I will keep it for a longer term as the warrant is reasonably priced. Anyway I am a small trader, so no worries.

# hiddengem - thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. As I mentioned, I just do the needful to ensure the sustainability of this thread for all to share their trading views and experience.
Of late, I have not been using my own trading approach to select stocks as the market is too volatile (with many stocks just having one day play) and also still concerned that the market may correct (it's worrying that the Dow is getting higher and higher - just my opinion). Thus rather to preserve cash whilst following rchi's recommendations for quivk trades without tying up capital. I think the success rate of my own picks this month is about 50% percent only and the gains I made come mainly from rchi's call (thanks to him again) on bambi and wog.
Probably you are busy with your work but would be nice if you could drop in more often. After all you are one of the founding members.
All the best, my good friend !

# Sparkle (and all 932 core members). You do not really need to delete your previous postings as I find them well expressed, witty and lively. Having said that probably you are aware that I always mention that we should be mindful with our words (though some may think I am pretending to be a wise old man and keep repeating). It is a known fact that there are people who read all our comments, otherwise how would they know what you or I posted, or for that matter what the rest said or what stocks we are talking about etc.. We do not want to upset others. To think of it, what do we get in offending others?. On the other hand what do we gain in trying to become heroes / heroines in the eyes of others? After all this is a e-forum and no one knows the real identity of the other people. Even if I am writing this, some will still be skeptical and say I am being long-winded, repeating the same thing over and over again. As long as my intentions are clear, I am not bothered at all. That's why I opt to remain silent all this while. My main aim is to to ensure that this thread is as friendly and family-like as ever.
You will also notice that there are several categories of people here as follows:-
(A) the core (regular) members who only post in this thread from the beginning or who after coming here, decided to adopt this thread as their "home".
- Sky, MC, connie, ooi1955, Christine, Moon, chengyee, Evel, Trustme932, hiddengem, scjm3, rchi, Hot.T, twobits, and hopefully you too
(B) the people making guest appearances but contributing positively for the benefit of others
- KC (space)Loh, Profitman, OoiTeikBee, Sephiroth, MikeKong, Faberlicious, JohnChong....
( my apologies if I have missed out anyone in Group A and B....these are ones that are considered to be part of this big family)
(C) - those who used to be here but left yet still cannot resist making postings once in a while
(D) - those who just came in once or twice or a few times but never appear again
(E) - those who pop in with friendly and kind comments
(F) - those who appear suddenly with sarcastic and cynical remarks
Of course we cannot stop people from leaving due to some reason or another and neither can be block anyone from posting their comments here as this is a public forum.
We just do the needful.

# Special Update - Expect an exciting finish.
With two more trading days to the end of the challenge competition, Ooi Teik Bee has propelled himself (with a strategic purchase in Hap Sen warrants) to the 2nd spot and closed the gap to less than RM 3,000, with every chance of snatching the title from Rich who has been leading (except on one instance) since the contest started.
Look forward to an exciting finishing in the final lap.
