If anyone want to survive in this low oil era...you sould buy airline stock such as AAX and AirAsia. No competitor in Bursa make it more attractive. AAX still cheap and they are expected to make huge profit next year. Next year is the best year for Airline Industries.

Billionaire Shale Pioneer Sees Drilling Slowdown on Oil Price Drop

Billionaire wildcatter Harold Hamm, a founding father of the U.S. shale boom whose personal fortune has fallen by more than half in the past three months, said U.S. drilling will slow as producers cut back amid falling oil prices.

Declining activity from Texas to North Dakota won’t be as harmful to the industry as some have feared, the chairman and chief executive officer of Continental Resources Inc. said. OPEC’s refusal to curb output last week bodes well for U.S. producers that can outlast countries in the cartel, which depend on higher oil prices.

“Will this industry slow down? Certainly,” Hamm said today in a telephone interview. “Nobody’s going to go out there and drill areas, exploration areas and other areas, at a loss. They’ll pull back and won’t drill it until the price recovers. That’s the way it ought to be.”

Investors have been spooked as oil has declined to a five-year low, after prices above $100 a barrel helped spark a boom in output from U.S. shale formations. The value of Hamm’s wealth, which is largely tied to the fate of Oklahoma City-based Continental, has fallen by more than $12 billion in three months, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Hamm, who helped discover the potential of North Dakota’s Bakken formation, predicted a swift recovery in oil prices, which have declined more than 36 percent since June as Saudi Arabia and its allies in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries declined to reduce production last week.

Our bos Tan Sri Dato Shamsul Indicate the price crude oil movement for next year will be around 70 USD - 75 USD. With this range PETRONAS will only able to pay govt around RM 43 Billion in term of dividend a reduction of almost 37% from previous year if the oil price maintain around that price. PETRONAS will also reduce it capex expenditure around 15 % - 20 % to ensure it can survive this bum phi ride next year. This will also effect those having contract with PETRONAS and future contract reward. If the price maintain around 70 USD - 75 USD...marginal oil field still make profit but there gonna be reduction in term of margin of profit from each segment. If the oil price move below 70 USD..possible this marginal oil field will not survive and will make losses.

this is not the bottom yet. oil price will move to below 70USD. the suma will follow to go down. Now America will decide where the direction of crude oil. If they believe they survive with 70USD crude oil then they will not do anything. Price will keep droping un least america cut their production. if not then the surplus will widen and even push down the price more and effect the USD shale oil producer more. This is the time the arab kill shale oil. heheheh.
