Many huge changes can come into play with TG. The CBP might reverse the ban, which will be a huge price boost. Conversely, Australia and UK are being pressured by activists to join in on the ban, which would be a huge price dampener. What will ACTUALLY happen? I have no idea. Times like these that I wish I had contacts who could give me advance info about any such events.

yes, dividends DO make you rich. The issue is whether you are investing in a growth stock. stocks in their growth period do not have free cash flow to give out dividends. But investors buy shares in those companies in the anticipation of future dividend payouts. ... There's 3 ways to make money off stocks. 1 dividend payouts. 2. You buy low, sell high. 3. the company goes private, disposed off, or otherwise, and the proceeds are distributed to the equity holders... this is pretty similiar to #2.

@primaris you can never time the market... but recently I said to heck with timing the market, buy means buy and sell means sell! ... that did not work out well. Paid FAR too much for some purchases. :(

I have made some significant purchases, and it would be unethical (and perhaps illegal?) to say either "BUY!!!" or "SELL!!!" in this situation, because significant price movement in a certain direction (which I won't reveal) would greatly influence my personal wealth. All I will do is just ask questions, and make neutral statements.

FYI, about the forced labor issue... According to US Law, Topglove is guilty as charged... but so is just about ALL the local factories! So why is Topglove being singled out? ... FYI, according to USA law, it is considered as forced labor if you indenture a worker or "pressure them into working/staying on". Remember USA is a land which allows unions and worker strikes. USA would not approve of our foreign maid situation either, because we hold passport, don't allow them to go out, ETC ETC. ... And... this will NOT change. Malaysia simply cannot comply with their standards. According to US forced labor laws, after you pay the fees and such to bring in a worker/ maid... if they decide they are tired and want to take 1 month off? that's their right. If supermax brought them in and is paying RM4, and TG is offering RM4.50? US law says they can just quit supermax and walk over to TG and work there instead. If your worker decides he doesn't like it here and decides to go home? The fees and such you paid? All burnt. That is US labor laws. ... how you expect our local companies to comply with that??? lol no way lar.
