We remain OVERWEIGHT on the aviation sector and still prefer airlines over airports. AirAsia remains our preferred pick and we expect AirAsia and AirAsia X to continue reporting strong earnings for the rest of 2016, aided by continuing benefits from low jet fuel prices and strong demand translating into higher passenger load factors. Meanwhile, we also expect MAHB’s earnings to recover in 2016, but estimate profit contributions from its local operations may remain sluggish. We also foresee downside risks to our passenger traffic estimates for its Turkey operations.
