As is usual with this company, it passed all the investment criteria except the dividend yield test.

I am going to just hold on to my YTLE and see what happens. In the offer document, it is clearly shown that the weighted average YTL Corp price over the last year was below the RM1.65 that the exchange is based on. I agree that this is a rip off.

It all boils down to the dividend. The price won't hold if the directors keep on enriching themselves instead of their shareholders.

No cash offer. Just an unfavourable share swap. This offer will be a flop unless YTL Corp offers more shares in the exchange.
