KUALA LUMPUR: Takaso Resources Bhd shares may see active trade today after reports emerged that a United States-based private equity fund is in a team leading a buyout of the company.The report, which emerged on Friday, has not been denied by Takaso nor American private equity firm Carlyle Group.

"Karex is taking over Takaso due to the reason of expansion. By taking over takaso (paid up capital 40 million). It is consider relatively cheap rather that setting up fully integrated condom plant which might take up 2 - 3 years lead time ( loss of business opportunity). By taking over, heard it will create synergy and economy of scale which in return create income generation instantly once the take over is completed. "
