enid888, i agree with you. Those who have scrutinize their Annual Report would know how much value E&O is worth. You don't get this kind of plunge always... so its a buy and accumulation for me.

nibbling and holding, the richest man will orchestra an event soon. As long as the cable business is churning enough cashflow and T&B line, its good to have a look.

Its not about how cheap is the stock price, its more about how the owners and management is going to do to springboard the business to another growth level. Stagnating for many years, owners are from the prominent legal profession industry, not sure they are going to do anything to bring it up. Confectionery industry is a very lucrative industry, its just how they are going to develop it up... look at the hongkies, simple 1 product can conquer the industry. So unless Hwa Tai is to come up with some great food technology division and innovate, it will slowly lose its shine.

Bintulu Silicone Plant is the next growth mammoth for PMB, the technology is great, the electricity to run it @ Samalaju is dirt cheap , the raw materials @ abundance & lastly the logistic to support the business is seamless... FA is fantastic, TA is also lingering at 3 Tops... Once break 3.47... the heaven is limitless

Personally, the only segment making Top & Bottom line is from the cable business, other ventures are bleeding. Funds are being used to cover the losing division and this is not healthy. Insiderss is right in pointing out that. The beneficial owners are " negotiating" for their peaceful minds and this include the businesses involved. I believe they will remain low profile until the next PM comes on board.
