Very likely conditional approval from SC? Approved subject to Sona's obtaining Salamander's shareholders approval to sell its stake to sona?? or SC decline approval outright and newly minted spacs go haywire?? Could someone provide answers please.

Could some experts clarify the following:
1. Which must come first, SC approval for Salamander to be the QA or
2. Sona must secure the acquisition of Salamander for SC to consider it as Sona's QA.
3. If the answer is 2, what is the implication if SC did not approve Sona's choice of Salamander as its QA besides sona's share price going south i.e funds collected via ipo, alternative assets to be considered, timeline for another acquisition. The answers I believe are very relevant to would-be-spac waiting in line for their impending ipo.

Fuel hedging is considered a smart move in a rising fuel prices environment. But airlines that hedges heavily will lose out when prices of jet fuel drops as they are committed to pay the hedged prices which happens to be higher than the prevailing rates. The irony is, airlines that do not hedge seems to be on a winning side when fuel prices are on a declining scale. On hindsight, it will be prudent for airlines that do not hedge their fuel consumption now to start hedging coz by the time prices go up, they will benefit again.

No Superfortunebull, OPR is the overnight prime rate set by BNM where banks borrows from other banks for immediate funds. If BNM announces an increase in the OPR rate ( most analysts predict 25bp ) then the cost of borrowing for banks will increase, thus will trigger a higher BLR i.e base lending rate a bank charges its customer. BLR will naturally move in tandem with OPR.

CBC, why don't you buy an English grammar book published by Longman and learn how to construct a sentence. Longman's grammar book for Standard Six is most appropriate for you. A word of advice. Never ever use Google Translate to write a sentence. This is my last communication with you for I have lost the appetite to listen to your hilarious comment

When comes to money you can't trust anyone, not even your mother. Trust yourself. Food for thought: Can you think of anyone, let alone a stranger, who wants to help you make tons of money because he is such a noble unselfish person spending extensive hours on the computer for free.

What's there to comment when Inckeneth has been in hibernation far too long. Been holding this laggard for almost 6 mths. I believe its land assets has never been revalued since booked in the 1960s or 70s. It has a large track of plantation land in Kajang ripe for property development. Reputable developers like SP Setia, Naza TTDI, Tropicana & Sime Darby have been aggresively purchasing land further south from Semenyih down to Seremban due to scarcity of land for development. Even if no developers are pursuing Inckeneth land assets, a revaluation of its land assets will certainly price its share value 2 fold. Add that to puting its plantation land on the market, you'll have a double whammy. Though Keneth is only inching up after long hibernation, it will travel by a mile in the near term. Best of luck.

Haiyah, Hibiscus proponents are quite adamant their counter is a better buy than Sona whilst the latter's supporters are quite resolute on their position. Why the need for Hibiscus proponents to ridicule investors of Sona when all you need to do is buy as much as Hibiscus and avoid buying Sona. As for the confused lot, buy both for all you know win some lose some, or win / lose all.

My dad told me this : In football betting, if you win, you win. If you lose, you lose. Period. But in share trading even if the market crash, as long as you don't sell your shares, there is still a chance you can recover.

What you wish does make sense, but it could possibly be the opposite why Mustapha Kamal may not want to inject Emkay into MK Land to avoid Kasi offloading his shares with a quick profit whilst MK share price may suffer in the aftermath.

asrizal, PMIND profit on its 4thQ has always been in the negative since 2010. I do have some reservations in its latest results (presumably today ) but the signs are quite hopeful though.

I know for a fact that Kasi and Mustapha Kamal are at odds with each other for the most part of their association. Now that Kasi has departed, do you think that there is an iota of chance they will work hand in hand??? Still, if someone can convince me MK Land shares will surge in the shortest possible time, I will buy whether they hate or love each other.

Hi everyone
I'm new here and still wet behind the ears when comes to equity investment. Made my first plunge into stocks by buying Octagon @0.115 and sold @0.135 the very next day since my heart was pumping blood faster than usual when the price suddenly accelerates. Haven't had the faintest idea what was that all about that contributed to the surge in price. Could some seasoned traders please explain in layman language coz I'm still at a loss metaphorically speaking.
