They acquire the company, fmu5 is just an asset in that company... dont know what is the other asset n liabilities on that company’s book.. negative goodwill is the excess of fv of net assets of the acquired company over the acquisition consideration.....so u know fv of fmu5 only so far...

MD&A stated they managing 28,000 hectare FMU... but note 18 stated 100m related to 1,798 hectare only.... the cost capitalised include depreciation of PPE somemore... FV of the current 1,798 or 28,000 hectare is how much? If 101,000 hectare fmu5 worth 390m (if not wrong), prorate 28,000 hectare is 100m++ only... can it cover the book value of timber rights, biological asset and relevant PPE? Does it mean u need to impair it now coz auditor has to disclose the impact of new standard when adopted... if the FV had been determined, the question is whether impairment or write off required on current book value too and it might ends up qr result very ugly....

I read many of their report as well as annual report... to be honest, based on the extraction volume in apr to june, ex rate movement and the demand from logs supply... under usual circumstance, they will report a fantastic one... but too bad the crackdown impacted their logs extraction operation at fmu5... hopefully qr out asap, wanna read outlook and note on subsequent event...
