Everytime there is a price correction, we can buy more. Today, Vivo is the darling stock. Those people who still question Vivocom's performance capabilities and integrity actually knows nothing about Vivocom.

Today Vivo down is because of poor market sentiment and NOT because Vivo is no good.

Vivocom’s 1QFY3/16 net profit soared 22x YoY to MYR19.9m, accounting for 43% of consensus full-year estimate. The stellar 1QFY3/16 results were mainly attributable to the consolidation of the results of its new subsidiary companies, Neata Aluminium (Malaysia) S/B and Vivocom Enterprise S/B (VESB), which enabled the group to diversify into construction, and aluminium design and fabrication businesses. No dividend was declared for the current quarter.



In 1QFY3/16, the construction unit contributed MYR31.9m to its gross profit (GP), making up 85% of the group GP thanks to progress billings of several on-going construction projects. The aluminium segment also contributed 9% to the group GP (MYR3.4m) attributable to design and fabrication of aluminium structures for several housing projects. Civil, mechanical and electrical works unit saw GP rising 130% YoY on the back of a 20% YoY increase in revenue arising from higher work orders.



Going forward, its construction unit will continue to be the key earnings driver of the group. YTD, it has secured about MYR758m new jobs. It is widely believed that Vivocom will benefit from China Railway Construction Corp (CRCC)’s exposure in the domestic construction space. The street expects Vivocom to benefit from CRCC’s participation in the Gemas-Johor Baru double-track rail project and the Mentakab-Kuantan rail project.



Against the backdrop of strong jobs pipeline, the street is forecasting a 3-year 153% EPS CAGR for FY15-18. Brokers are bullish on the stock. There are three Buys with a mean target price of MYR0.65. This strong set of results could be a potential re-rating catalyst to the stock as it may lead to earnings upgrade by the street.



At current price, the stock is trading at 16.4x consensus FY16 EPS of 2.2sen but a more compelling FY17 PER of 6.0x. Key parameter to monitor is the jobs flow which is crucial to reaffirm the bullish expectations on this stock.

There are long term investors, traders and punters. All these are normal. Don't think that punters and traders are no good. These groups of players actually help to create demand. The long term investors need them. Without these groups of investors buying in to create confidence, which long term investor will buy in? Some don't even know Vivocom until the price increase and big volume of trade is highlighted.

The strong man knows that majority were waiting to sell at 40 sen. He also need to liquidate his stock so that he can support at lower price.

Vivo is down but not out. Let the weak holders like contra players and punters sell first before the price move up. If we think we are smart, the strong man who support this stock is smarter.

Vivo is a good investment stock. The share capital is large at 2.6bn. So it is not a controlled or cornered stock. That is why the price movement is volitile. There are large volume of buyers and sellers at any one time. So it is very easy to buy and sell as you wish.

Dell888, although happy to see you make money but sad that you are leaving so soon. Leave some for investment purpose. There is plan for Vivo to move to main board in 2017, Vivo actually already qualified to move to main board but they want to be classified as construction and not technology as currently is. Once Vivo moves to main board, more institutions will start to invest including EPF and KWAP and government related funds. Will look out for you in Genting WA and Gamuda WA. :) All the best.

However, if profit increases in each quarter, the TP will be much higher accordingly.

Q1 EPS is 0.8 sen. For simple and conservative calculations, the EPS for full year 2016 will be 0.8 x 4 = 3.2 sen. Based on PER = 15, Target Price will be 48sen. Assumption: Net profit is the same for each quarter. This is for easy understanding.
