I’m lazy comment here, every day same thing. Somehow I don’t see the point. Things go repeat again and again. Still come back to conclusions, from talking facts to talking nonsense, when people think that he is always right. Don’t fight with the people. Because everything you say will never get accepted and forever the problem won’t get resolved. Haha… Somehow i think i spam too much but at least I accept some facts even negative but not from line. The replied gone too far away and still thinking that Mr. always right. Hahaha, anyhow being with toxic people is really wasting time. Here no longer discussion when thing get judge and spam at the first place. Line not joker or operator, but a pure spammer.

AirAsia has resumed flights between Kuala Lumpur and Siem Reap, Cambodia. The airline will operate the route with two flights per week on Mondays and Fridays. Flight AK540 is scheduled to depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) at 13:05, arriving in Siem Reap at 14.20. The return flight, AK541, is timed to leave Siem Reap at 14:55, arriving back in Kuala Lumpur at 18:10.

Cambodia was one of the first countries in the region to relax its entry requirements for foreign travel, reopening the Kingdom to fully vaccinated international travellers without the need for quarantine or COVID19 testing at all international gateways and checkpoints in November 2021.

HE Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, Cambodia, said, “Cambodia is now truly open for all vaccinated tourists and we welcome AirAsia guests back to our great country with open arms. Tourism is a significant driver of our economy and social development, we thank AirAsia for their continued support to stimulate and grow air travel to our key leisure destinations. Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder, invites travellers from all walks of life to feel its warmth, safely and hygienically.”

The Siem Reap flights follow AirAsia’s resumption of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Phnom Penh, the Kingdom’s capital city, in January.

“Prior to COVID19, Siem Reap was one of the most popular destinations in ASEAN as a key tourist hub for globetrotters from all over the world,” said Riad Asmat, CEO AirAsia Malaysia. “AirAsia started the route in 2018 and flew close to 170,000 passengers in 2019. We are confident that these new services will continue to be very popular in the future. In response to strong demand, we are also planning more flights and destinations in Cambodia with services to Sihanoukville scheduled to take flight on 2 June. AirAsia welcomes the initiatives taken by the Cambodian government to ease travel restrictions to allow more seamless travel to Cambodia. We look forward to flying more leisure seekers from near and far to the country soon.”

For entry into Malaysia, all international tourists and travellers are required to take a pre-departure COVID19 test within 2 days of departure and purchase COVID19 travel insurance (for short-term foreign visitors). Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers are required to spend 5 days in quarantine.

For entry into Cambodia, there are no pre-departure, post-arrival COVID19 tests or quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travellers. Travellers are only required to show proof of being fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated travellers from Malaysia who wish to travel to Cambodia must meet the requirements set by the Cambodian Government prior to purchasing their flights and upon arrival.

Trend #3: Edge Computing – Low Latency & Security
Real time applications depend on edge computing. Instead of calculating everything at a central source, edge networks process information closer to the user and lighten the load of the entire network for all users.

Not only can edge computing reduce latency of IoT technology, but it also has potential to increase the security of data processing. If data can be processed on an edge device instead of being transmitted to a central server, there are fewer opportunities for it to be intercepted by hackers. All that needs to happen is for the information to be exchanged with the edge device and then handed right back to the user. The information doesn’t need to be stored using memory in this case.

Edge computing is useful for any situation where decisions need to be made quickly. This is especially true in contexts like security and safety. Automatically stopping machinery from operating while someone is in a restricted area at a factory is one way that IoT edge computing can be used to protect people from harm. Autonomous vehicles need to receive data to make critical decisions in real-time, and this can mean the difference between life and death on the road.

Ancom Nylex Q3 FY22 revenue rose 31.0pc YoY to RM510.0mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Ancom Nylex Bhd (ANB) posted a revenue of RM510.0 million for the third quarter (Q3) ended 28 February 2022 (FY22), a surge of 31.0 per cent year-on-year (YoY) from RM389.2 million last year.

In tandem with the higher turnover, net profit doubled YoY to RM15.1 million for Q3 from RM7.1 million in the same quarter of FY21.

For Q3, the agricultural chemicals (Agrichem) segment reported revenue of RM98.2 million, improving by 15.5 per cent YoY.

The industrial chemicals division reported revenue of RM371.9 million for Q3 FY22, improving from RM262.5 million last year.

Managing director and group chief executive officer Lee Cheun Wei said the sustained growth momentum was mainly supported by the agrichem division, which saw an increase in orders from export markets and Malaysia.

"Plantation operators worldwide have been working hard to fulfil the rising food demand, indirectly resulting in the surge in herbicide prices.

"Moreover, the two new agrichem active ingredients rolled out earlier have also contributed to our bottom-line increase," he said in a statement today.

Looking ahead, Lee said the company remains upbeat on its agrichem business prospects following visits to key export markets in recent months.

"Overall, we anticipate demand from countries such as Thailand, Brazil, and Malaysia to increase.

"Meanwhile, ANB faced growth momentum for the industrial chemicals arm with some headwinds in the Q3 of FY22.

"Nevertheless, we believe the division's performance will be better over the coming periods as prices for petrochemical products are currently trading at higher levels than their historical averages," he said.

For the nine-month (9M) of FY22, ANB's top line increased 32.5 per cent YoY to RM1.45 billion.

Net profit jumped 122.0 per cent YoY to RM36.3 million for the period compared to RM16.3 million in 9M FY21.

https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2022/04/21/shortage-of-grade-c-chicken-eggs-in-melaka

MELAKA: Melaka is facing a shortage of grade C chicken eggs due to high demand from food traders, said state Unity, Information, Human Resources and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Ngwe Hee Sem.

He said the high demand for the grade C chicken egg was because of its price, which is the cheapest, at only 37 sen each, compared to grade B (39 sen) and grade A (41 sen).

"This problem has been detected since December last year. It stabilised in January, but in February, the supply decreased due to the Chinese New Year celebration," he said when met by reporters here Thursday (April 21).

Ngwe said the situation stabilised again in March, but by April, there was shortage again due to the fasting month.

For grade A and B chicken eggs, he said there were plentiful in the local market, with some exported to Singapore.

As such, he urged traders to use grade A and B eggs as the price did not differ much. - Bernama

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/luxchem-acquire-block-n-jaya-one-rm1998-mil

KUALA LUMPUR (April 20): Plastic material and resin manufacturer Luxchem Corp Bhd has proposed to acquire a leasehold property in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, for a total consideration of RM19.88 million.

The company said it intends to shift its head office to the newly acquired property, amid space constraints at its existing head office situated in Damansara Utama.

According to Luxchem’s bourse filing, Luxchem Trading Sdn Bhd (LTSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Worldwide Emergency Assistance (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to purchase the whole of Block N at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.

The property has a built up area of 28,578.2 sq ft, with a 99 years leasehold tenure due to expire on May 28, 2105. It is also free from all encumbrances and not subject to any restriction in interest.

Luxchem said the purchase price was arrived at on a willing buyer-willing seller basis after taking into consideration the assessment on the location, accessibility, suitability of the site, availability of public services and development of the surrounding area.

“The settlement of the purchase price will be funded by cash via internally-generated funds and bank borrowings,” it said, adding that the proposed acquisition is expected to be completed within three months from the date of the SPA.

Luxchem’s share price finished 2.14% or one and a half sen lower at 68.5 sen on Wednesday (April 20), bringing it a market capitalisation of RM732.86 million.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 18): As countries continued to reopen following high vaccination rates, senior executives at Capital A Bhd, the holding company for AirAsia Aviation Group, called on governments across Asia to further ease travel restrictions in order to revive the global economy.

In a statement on Monday (April 18), the company said Covid-19 tests required by many countries in Asia, which cost more than some of its airfares, made the overall cost of air travel burdensome for most of the ordinary travellers that it serves.

“We thank the governments in Asean which are finally reopening borders. This is a great first step to revive economic growth.

"With a high percentage of people in Asean fully vaccinated, we believe that it is time to review the onerous deterrents still stifling air travel, including the numerous testing requirements both pre-departure and on arrival, additional paperwork and costly Covid travel insurance,” said Capital A president, commercial, Colin Currie.

According to him, tourism is a major economic contributor and a lifeline for many countries in Asean and beyond.

He said that for Asean as a whole, the tourism sector accounts for 13% of the grouping’s aggregate gross domestic product (GDP), and 6% of total employment. Revival of the tourism sector is thus pivotal to supporting the livelihood of the people.

“The majority of the world is now fully vaccinated and a sizeable portion has also received booster shots. Data in the region also shows that the chance of hospitalisation from Covid-19 for those fully vaccinated is very small,” he added.

Meanwhile, AirAsia Aviation Group group chief executive officer Bo Lingam said it was a sad fact that some of the group’s airfares cost less than the Covid-19 tests required by many countries in Asia, making the overall cost of air travel burdensome for most of the ordinary travellers that it serves.

The testing requirements, including the number and type of tests involved, should constantly be reviewed to ensure that they remain relevant, without burdening travellers or compromising public health, he said.

He noted another key issue faced by air travellers is the additional paperwork and various, unstandardised entry applications required by different countries.

These too should be urgently reviewed as the current processes tend to be duplicative and cause confusion amongst travellers, he added.

“This is on top of the superfluous Covid-19 travel insurance requirement still imposed by many countries and we would like to applaud Singapore, Cambodia, Australia and India for leading the way by doing away with this requirement in order to draw more visitors to their respective countries,” he said.

He said he is also very pleased that countries like Cambodia and India have completely removed testing requirements and reduced paperwork for entry applications, while travellers to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and the Philippines are only required to undertake one Covid-19 test, either pre-departure or on-arrival.

According to him, Malaysia is the only country in Asean that is still requiring two tests, both pre-departure and on-arrival, which he called on the government to urgently review.

“The global recovery in air travel is very much underway. We are happy to note that many countries are already making the journey easier and more tourist-friendly. Countries that persist in trying to lock out the disease instead of managing it, as we do for other diseases, face the risk of missing out on significant economic benefits,” he said.

He said that AirAsia continues to play its part in the revival by looking at ways to make air travel as affordable and hassle-free as possible for its guests, including fully contactless procedures at airports and in the air.

According to him, the group last week announced a partnership with leading local provider Medijaya, to provide more affordable and convenient testing facilities in Malaysia which it hopes to roll out similarly in other destinations soon.

“We will continue to work closely with respective governments, regulators and industry partners across Asia and the Pacific as we work together to reduce the friction of air travel in order to stimulate demand and help revive the economy as a whole,” he said.

At 11.51am Monday, Capital A dropped 0.5 sen or 0.71% to 70 sen, valuing the group at RM2.93 billion.

Year to date, the counter has tumbled 13.58%.

AirAsia resumes flights from India to Malaysia, Thailand
NEW DELHI, 21 hours, 55 minutes ago
AirAsia, a leading low-cost carrier in Asia, has announced that it has resumed its international flights from India to Malaysia and Thailand starting from this month.

The airline began as a low-cost carrier with operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and India, and has till date flown more than 600 million passengers to over 160 destinations in its network across Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the US.

Announcing its Malaysian schedule, Air Asia said it will operate flights from six Indian cities to Kuala Lumpur starting this month. These are Bengaluru, Chennai and Tiruchirappalli (already underway), Kochi (from April 18), Kolkata (April 23) and Hyderabad (May 1).

On its Thai operations, Air Asia said five new routes are being launched from India including Kochi-Bangkok (Don Mueang) and Jaipur-Bangkok (Don Mueang) from 1st May; Bengaluru-Bangkok (Don Mueang) and Chennai-Bangkok (Don Mueang) on May 4 and Kolkata-Bangkok (Don Mueang) from May 2.

To celebrate the resumption of 30 additional weekly flights to India launching this month and next month, the airline is offering individual customers and travel agents with a 20% discount to all Indian destinations from Malaysia through the airasia Super App until May 1, along with complimentary 20kg check-in baggage allowance for each booking.

Welcoming the resumption of direct commercial flights to Malaysia, C. Sushma, the Chargé d'Affaires of the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, said: "This is an important step in reconnecting India and Malaysia as people to people connectivity lies at the foundation of this important partnership. AirAsia has been offering low-cost flights to India since 2008, connecting travellers from Kuala Lumpur to multiple destinations in India."

Manoj Dharmani, AirAsia’s Regional Commercial Head for India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, said: “AirAsia’s resumption of international flights has been highly anticipated by both the airline and its guests. With Malaysia and Thailand reopening and travel restrictions being lifted, we will be continually re-introducing international services this month."

AirAsia Group, he stated, had been recently recognised as the only Thai airline among the Top 3 “Most On-Time Low-Cost Carriers” as ranked by leading aviation and travel data analytics firm Cirium for 2021 with an on-time performance average of 97.47%.

With borders being reopened across the region, AirAsia will continue to review and add to its expanding network to cater for the increasing demand for air travel, including 30 total weekly flights from Malaysia to India launching by the end of May.

Furthermore, with a total of 71 weekly flights to be operated by the end of 2022, AirAsia Malaysia will be soon returning to pre-Covid-19 capacity, flying more than 140 weekly services to and from India, he added.

Quantum computing

It is common to see technologies in the market that leverage quantum computing principles with the potential to make a significant difference in computing power-heavy industries. One way is by helping with optimisation problems. Optimisation algorithms are already being reconfigured using quantum mechanics principles.

Malaysia’s financial services, biotech and pharmaceutical sectors could particularly benefit from quantum computing because they require highly scalable compute power. KPMG has launched a global quantum technology hub based in Denmark, in collaboration with Microsoft’s Azure Quantum platform (Building on quantum advantage, Dec 2, 2021). The hub will focus on researching applications in three main areas: ultra-precise measurements using quantum sensors, computational speed-up on quantum computers and improvements in cybersecurity using quantum cryptography.

The rising data tide lifts all boats
As legacy companies start to embrace their IoT data, cloud service providers should take notice. Cloud adoption, long understood to be a priority among businesses looking to better understand their consumers, will become increasingly central to the transformation of traditional companies. The cloud and the services delivered around it will serve as a highway for manufacturers or utilities to move, activate, and monetize exabytes of data that are critical to businesses across industries. As these companies gradually make this transition from hardware producers to data aggregators, the very business models that shape our world will begin to evolve.

Stock

2022-03-28 10:02 | Report Abuse

How do we succeed in using IoT data strategically?
To create a world in which legacy companies, en masse, use IoT data strategically, the cloud needs to be more accessible. While the benefits of the cloud are widely recognized, the challenges of getting data there at scale, quickly and securely, have made it wildly under-utilized.

Massive, unstructured IoT data workloads — typically stored at the edge or on-premise — require infrastructure that not only handles big data inflows, but directs traffic to ensure that data gets where it needs to be without disruption or downtime. This is no easy feat when it comes to data sets in the petabyte and exabyte range, but this is the essential challenge: prioritizing the real-time activation of data at scale. By building a foundation that optimizes the capture, migration, and usage of IoT data, these companies can unlock new business models and revenue streams that fundamentally alter their effects on the world around us.

2022-03-28 10:02 | Report Abuse

Transforming old-school industries
Take the automotive industry, for example. Each day, one autonomous car — with hundreds of sensors — may gather over 25 gigabytes of data. At scale, this amasses exabytes of data for the companies that manufacture them. These sensors have turned the proverbial garden hose into a fire hydrant, flooding organizations with data. If this volume of data is moved to the cloud and leveraged strategically, the impact could be massive.

For instance, if an automotive manufacturer starts collecting and analyzing data from sensors in cars, it could share that data with insurance providers to fundamentally change the way insurance policies are created. The safer the driver, the lower the monthly payment. Beyond that, they could even partner with city and state governments to share insights on driving behavior, informing new roadways and detecting poor conditions — altering the look and feel of today’s cities.

Smart meter manufacturers are making similar moves to harness the full potential of their data. Smart meters, which monitor energy consumption, continuously gather data that is vital to meeting energy needs across communities. This data is crucial for utility companies: not only informing reliability and maintenance measures, as well as pricing structures, but also fueling green initiatives to reduce carbon emissions. Working hand-in-hand with utility companies, smart meter manufacturers could be an essential accelerator of a more sustainable future.
