44 pe now, scary. Hope they deliver a good quarter result.

Basically they just hired a bunch of people to prepare for outdoor opening and now hit with this wuhan virus + bad local domestic economy. This mean coming 2 quarters result will have higher expenses & lower revenue. Double whammy. Some time all this also luck and genting has no luck recently.

from the 400m, almost 300m of it are banker acceptance. It's a form of short terms borrowings that are common for trading / distribution businesses for the company to purchase inventory and resell them to their customer later on. You need to balance this debt against their accounts receivable and inventory on hand.

still feel it is undervalued. 1b+ in trading revenues, capability in manufacturing and a substantial stake in solarvest. To be valued at 320m is abit too low in my opinion.

You trade with margin on this counter sure die very fast. Anyway if you go through their QR there is still gem inside. To me in terms of value it is attractive now

Bought some for keeping, good price point. Seeing the movement from EPF into large infra player such as Gamuda, IJM, Suncon made me think Chin Hin AAC will be a beneficiary soon as large infra project such as LRT tracks usually favours AAC concrete. Maybe some construction sifu can enlighten this.

Looking forward to see the first report card of fy2020 for Chin Hin :)

There is no panic. If panic support @0.80 would have been broken. But many are considering the stock long term horizon before any hold/sell decision i guess.
I think many bought into this counter for the LSS3 result. So now news is out, they have to re-assessed this counter again.

@ZhanLang, this is the big tender result that people hope will create a pop for this stock.
Total up for bid under LSS3 project is 500mw. All 500mw has been awarded based on the article by edge.
Not sure will the winner sub contract it out to solarvest to build / operate / maintain these plants or not.

top line growth very dependent on large scale solar project. As small installations has very negligible impact already based on their current revenue size. However small installation overall is better in terms of profit margin and financing wise, but again negligible due to its small value unless high volume of installations.

This is the bid for the LSS-3 project submitted on Aug 19 by various solar operators. The tender result should be announced soon.

Also the company has very inconsistent QoQ/YoY track record. Massive profit follow by negative quarters. With this kind of track record i doubt any big fund will buy it.
2019-12-19 16:42 | Report Abuse
all sold with the news to lock in profit. With latest quarter profit dropping down YoY so much, i doubt the price will go anywhere soon until the company prove they can achieved again what they did in FY17/FY18.

Support coming down by each round. Careful there is a downward trend unless there is some new news that allowed it to breakthrough.

dump or not really need to see their outlook and earnings report. Solar industry definitely is growth prospect and with major tender yet to announced there is a big upside for solarvest on this due to they participate in a few of it and tender favor local players.
The downside is you can see the solar project price point and margin is on a downtrend. Last round lowest bid was 32 sen per kWh this round its 17.77sen per kWh. Its near to 50% lower, even you win the project margin might be razor thin. If this is true, revenue will grow very fast but gross profit will stay more or less the same. This will cause inflated PE.
Again, see earning report lo. Buy with confidence or sell with confidence. If looking for quick profit better have quick hands, eyes and ears and can ignore all the above ;)

Why is solarvest like greatech and UWC. Based on price movement ?
Your comment don't really make sense. Solarvest business is basically trading + services, as they purchase solar panel and install and provide services to maintain it.
Whereas greatech and UWC are manufacturing and customer based are export reliant. Margin, barrier to entry, target market and technology between them and solarvest has very big different. GP alone should tell you this.
The only thing i see similar are price movement after IPO. Apart from that everything is different.

No news, no excitement, no volume to punt or speculate. So just like that cruising along. Maybe nearer to annual report or some big headlines will create movement.

74.7% of shares are still under moratorium, so its really hard to predict what the big sharks will do. As a few big lot can change everything. Those that try to predict is more like coin toss. If got no appetite for risk better stay on sideline.

Solarvest market cap is 330m now and chin hin is 430m with 33% stake in the former company. This stock is wayyyy undervalued now based on market valuations fundamental. But weirdly the stock price goes inverse against each other. Any sifu can enlightened why this happen ?

if you strip out the solarvest IPO effect. The stock range should be around 0.65 - 0.75 range if full year earnings come in more or less the same as last year. To buy or not depend on how optimistic you are on the business and the its future earnings.
2019-11-26 20:39 | Report Abuse
Got sell off due to solarvest hype. But hey now they got 33% stake in 2019 hottest IPO lol.

If you look at the mother of cash flow metric. The free cash flow or operating cash flow. Its healthy so no worries, management know what they are doing
2019-11-25 15:08 | Report Abuse
eatcoconut, in terms in cash flow i see that it is in better shape compare to previous. Cash flow from operations is improving. The cash reduction is very much due to their reduce cash inflow from bank borrowings, which is good to reduce their interest expenses. Owner should inject cash soon via asset disposal to relief any cash flow issues.

not bad, YoY result is positive. Can see they are moving higher up the value chain from distribution to higher value activities such as AAC manufacturing that provide higher margin
Stock: [UWC]: UWC BERHAD
2020-02-10 11:04 | Report Abuse
It's a good stock but valuation too high in a fundamental stand point. Penta & Inari are both considered more high tech with technology reaching up to wafer level, whereas UWC is more towards CNC machining.
