MQ Tech Records Improved Earnings

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- MQ Technology Bhd, which secured a 10-year manufacturing contract from Jetline International (M) Sdn Bhd to fabricate and assemble aircraft parts, recorded a pre-tax profit of RM1.103 million for th3 first half ended June 30, 2013, from RM920,000 in the same period last year.

Revenue for the ACE-market listed company rose to RM14.3 million from RM18.3 million, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

MQ Technology is engaged in the manufacture of magnetic coils for hard disk drives and offers advanced precision mould making via its subsidiaries -- Microlead Precision Technology Sdn Bhd, Microlead Engineering Sdn Bhd and MPT Solution Co Ltd.

The company also informed Bursa Malaysia last week that it was not engaged in any negotiations relating to a takeover deal.
