Currently institution share around 51.1%. If share balance float can be more further reduced below 30%, then easier for the price to hike even more. Look at MPI. at just 300 million shares but balance float for public trading only 18.7%. Price already to the moon.

After studying the announcement on the acquisition of 60% of ping for usd78m carefully, I noted 2 key points.

Dnex is buying the 60% of ping at 20% discount to market value. In terms of rm, that's rm80 million. But giving the uncertainty surrounding oil and gas, the discount is perhaps reasonable.

But more importantly the key takeaway from the announcement is that dnex purchased 30% of ping back in 2016 for only usd10 million! This means dnex's 30% stake is invested at a huge bargain. To record 90% of ping in dnex books, dnex needs to revalue it's 30% stake in ping, sort of like a revaluation of property. The gain here is easily usd30 million (usd78m is for 60%, 30% is usd39). There is a revaluation gain of usd29m or 120million

The 2 gains here added up to rm200million, almost half of dnex marker cap.. sounds like a positive cue here
