@derilock: the debated part on the economic benefits with effective date 1 March 2017, highly unlikely to have an accumulated one-time adjustment. The effective date is to ascertain a timeframe to determine the economic potential of the north sabah concession so that both buyer and seller can ascertain an arm's length price to close the deal.

I do not think there is a one-off retrospective adjustment to the benefit of Hibiscus books. Hibiscus is entitled to the economic/commercial benefits of the North Sabah EOR PSC, upon the completion of the acquisition process, ie. thereafter 31 March 2018.

I am more inclined to believe that the effective date of 1 March 2017 was more of a cut-off date to determine the economic potential of the North Sabah EOR PSC, for purpose of deriving a strike price for the deal between the buyer and seller. It is analogous to an acquisition of a company, where for purpose of determining a valuation it has to base its assessment on a set of financial numbers at a specified date, for eg. finaniclal position as at 31 December 2017, 31 January 2018 etc.

How does an impressive presentation demonstrate willingness to take care of shareholders?

I am still amused by the near 7x impairment compared to their previous quarter, a sizeable financial hit in a matter of 3 months. Chances are they could had seen it coming in the last quarter and probably try to hold it as long as they could while trying to find patches but, they just couldn't make it. Another round of rights issue to raise money to infuse fresh assets to balance the current non-performing asset base? haha..
