The german guy and grp owning 10% stake doesn't make them own the asset... even disposing borsig at say RM1.2B, also about just sufficient to pay off most of the debt.

The news mentioned about hostile takeover... Actually hostile takeover means the buyer should be aggressively moping up shares in the open market or launch a takeover offer, not owning just 10% stake and called for EGM to change board.

Not sure why they chose a SGX listing vs a US or Europe listing. SGX mkt been pretty low volume for small and mid caps. Not sure if they can get highest listing valuation in SGX.

Saw ES warrant (ex price 0.20) expiring on 19/10/23 which is just about 2 mths. Anyone observe such cases will the price normally be pushed up to encourage wb holders to exercise?

As for CapA, HLIB’s chart showed that the number of passengers carried has gradually improved 64.7% of pre-pandemic level in its 1QFY2023, as the group progresses with full reinstatement of flight capacity in 3QFY2023 and growth from FY2024 onwards.

Wong said the negative impact of the ringgit weakening against the US dollar will be negated by the lower jet fuel price and capacity expansion of the group.

“The group has been recording lower core losses over the quarters and is expected to turn around in 2HFY2023. Key risk is its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status, affecting the attractiveness of the counter,” he said.

Wong pointed out that CapA’s balance sheet remained distressed with negative shareholders' equity of RM5.6 billion, RM589.6 million cash, RM513.6 million short term debt level and RM4.4 billion short term lease liabilities.

“Nevertheless, CapA has received a clean audit opinion after managing to convince auditors of the group’s ability to remain a going concern for the foreseeable future.

“The management also reassured that PN17 regularisation plans are on track, without the need for capital dilution or equity raising,” Wong said.

It was previously highlighted that CapA would exit PN17 through a corporate exercise involving sister company AirAsia X Bhd and also potentially listing of the digital businesses in Singapore.

HLIB set a target price (TP) of RM1.15 for CapA and a TP of RM8.50 for MAHB. At 10.15am, CapA was trading lower 1.5 sen at 79.5 sen while MAHB was unchanged at RM6.90.

Got in Cap A today 0.80 waiting for the Regularisation plan and exit PN17. SGX listed SIA has ran up more than 20% in 2 wks recently so think Cap A should be able reach $1.00 by end of July.

I think Govt can't let Pharma fail because that may affect the people access to medication. It will be serious issue and repercussions to politicians if any disruption to medication for the people and hospitals with lives at stake. So I think this is different as sapura (oil company no impact to the people) which is probably beyond saving.
I think their supply chain may not be so easily replicated in short term so maybe that's why BP and some potential suitors showing interest.

Im trading pharma for the short term, so not looking so far on the debt and pn17 status, as long as they don't receive letter of demand from creditor during this short term. The PP should be sufficient for them to avoid that but now not so sure if the price will move much until they completed the PP at 34c. But that also means they need to support the price around here to get investors taking up the PP.

The PP is to raise funds to pay off suppliers and those urgent bills due soon so they can continue to operate for time being. Probably buy more time for any possible deal or investment by the rumored suitors. Normally Govt will won't let a GLC fail because that will means a bad name for GLCs causing suppliers and banks will not willing to grant longer credit or grant loan in future.

Pharma is up today with volume at 0.41. Looks like closing the gap to target 0.43.
