Spent all my money buying Puncak yesterday already, no fund to pursue BJCorp today, sigh!

Hng33, based on the most recent quarter report, puncak cash on hand will cross 2.2 bil after water asset sale, that's more than 3.50 per share after sukuk conversion, right? How sad it's now trading at so much discount... worse, I have run out of bullets

jolie, what you have said is easily said, difficult to carry out. If you are investing at best a few hundred thousands, how much are you willing to use as your so-called market research? 1% 2% 5% 20%? 5% of 100 thousands is only 5000, and a mere 0.1% of 10 mln is already 50 thousands. Small fishes like us are usually conned and insulted (consulted) as needed.

I don't have the answer for you. I have quite a lot of Puncak myself, thought it's safe given high NTA with cash easily exceeds RM 3 per share. Guess our market doesn't appreciate this kind of thinking?

hng33, not sure, didn't ask in detail. There is one time YTL is shariah compliant but YTL Power is not at the same time, stupid compliance

hng33, even if o&g business earning is only RM 30m, that would still be worth RM 300 m market cap. Including to be sold off water concession and other businesses, Puncak should still worth at least 3.6 per share. Wonder if something unfavourable to shareholders will be proposed soon that is causing the selloff

hng33, if I were not wrong, should BJCorp has management control over BJAuto, BJCorp can still classify BJAuto as subsidiary, right? Also, even if BJAuto is to be classified as associate, the gain will not show in quarter report to be presented in December, but only the one to be presented in March, given that the disposal has just be completed, right?

VT is definitely famous for being ruthless and mean to shareholders, but at this price, I think its relatively safe compared to others... surely, there must be other shares that could offer better prospects. Just my personal opinion, don't thrash me

it seems to me buyback won't help much in pushing the price higher, only when the land sale or the disposal of property development project in China are sealed would we see some significant changes in BJCorp price. Hope they are done soon, I bought some call warrant of this stock and won't want them goes to nothing...

VT is a crazy businessman good at looking for kangtao and sapu everything he wants but not to excel in a particular industry. That's how I see VT and why BJCorp has so many ups and downs...

rich, has I been less optimistic about Puncak, would have sold some around 3.6x and bought back with recent drop... I am concerned because I lost the opportunity to make some of late, sigh... Luckily, was able to sell Puncak @ 3.56 and buy Puncak-WB @ 2.49 today, kind of happy.

Hng33, I realize that the market sentiment is not good, actually kind of anticipating it a while back, which is why I hold mostly shares of companies with recently sold businesses, rich in cash or with pending sales of businesses, including Puncak, Hwang Cap, BJCorp and Oriental. Sigh...

hng33, truth is, I thought it would be at least 3.60 until the deal is completed and rises further to around 3.80 - 4.20 when special dividend is distributed
