The US claimed the intent Iraq war was to remove "Saddam Hussien regime that developed and used weapons of mass destruction, that harbored and supported terrorists, committed outrageous human rights abuses and defied the just demands of the United Nations and the world.

So at the end the whole Iraq people suffered the consequent of the war even after Saddam Hussien and invading army already long gone.
