Barring any negative surprises in Quarterly financial report due this month, the company is now trading at an attractive single digit PE. If there are new projects to be won in the coming months along with the RM1.1bil projects in-hand , current price is very attractive.

Expecting a Special Dividend for this financial quarter ? Company shouldn't have an issue to reward the shareholders since it is sitting on a cash pile of about RM100mil.

Major shareholder continues to buy shares from the open market. Last purchase at RM1-03. Signs of the company being undervalued ? Look forward to the quarterly results this month.

With a market cap of RM275mil which is backed by cash of RM97mil and with strong recurring cash flow from existing projects such as the 10-year Govt concessions under CARP and growing and higher profit margin Enviroment segment business (STREAM), the company looks ripe for privatization. Question is at what price ? Setting at 10-30% above current market price will not do justice to the actual valuation of this company.

Technical indicators are positive, financial results for full year 2016 is expected to be positive, economic / business indicators also positive (stronger USD and CPO price up as per Calvin's comments above) - next week and run-up to end Feb (when the financial results are out) should be very interesting.

A convincing break with big volume above RM2.03 (MA 200 days) will be a strong signal to buy.

Waiting for dividend ex-date announcement. Should be soon. Recent selling (by foreign funds?) appears to have been well absorbed / supported. This counter needs some positive newsflow to push its price - corporate exercise, privatization, special dividends etc.

Heavy selling from foreign funds ? The selling however has been well absorbed with good support. Watch the breakout from the next level of resistance of RM2.00 and RM2.08. Still a good "buy and keep" from a potential capital gain and dividend yield perspective.

With the strengthening of USD, this is a good company to invest-in, on the assumption they continue to sign contracts in USD. Their plantation business is another good hedge for the strong USD - CBIP may consider to divest the plantations like how they did few years ago and distribute the cash to shareholders.

We should be expecting dividends this month. Bonus Issue ? That will be a pleasant surprise. The company traditionally has been rewarding shareholders with "something special" once every 2 years and the last Bonus Issue was in 2014. Maybe the company may distribute all the Treasury Shares from share buyback as Bonus Shares to the shareholders.

Good time to accumulate during this consolidation period.

Do you mean directors selling their shares? There are many reasons for their disposal, for immediate cash returns, to increase free float of the shares, to increase institutional holdings (mutual / equity funds) and at times to funds or individuals for them to push the share price upwards. In the last scenario, we may see price moving upwards but the trend may reverse sharply once the support is no longer there. Having said that, I doubt CBIP upward price trend last Friday was due to this. Company is fundamentally strong and likely the price increase was due to funds buying for window dressing.

Looks like quarter-end window dressing to me. I hope I am wrong though and the price is supported and sustainable for next week.

Looks like Equity Funds last minute buying for Sept / quarterly closing. Have not seen any other new flows or updates.

A break above RM2-08 (Moving Average for 200 days) with strong volume next week will indicate a bullish trend. This may coincide with their next quarterly financial report due this month.

Brexit = GBP ⬇️ = USD ⬆️ = Buy CBIP since 30-40% of contacts are in USD. Good dividend yield and expecting better financial results in the next few quarters.

Hope it's a positive announcement for minority investors.... Asset disposal or asset acquisition?It's unlikely for the counter to be suspended for qtrly results. Let's wait and see.

Strong buying and support seen the past 2 weeks. Are Funds buying ? Are we seeing the emergence of new significant shareholder(s)? Can it break RM2.35 next week ?

Seems like a new base has been formed at RM2.20. Will be interesting to see if it can break RM2.35. Company has a number of positives things going i.e. positive outlook for CPO, more new contacts and hopefully the approval for tax exemption. The current strengthening of RM may impact future earnings. Overall still a BUY for me !

Commendable financial results, notwithstanding higher taxation paid. If the company can obtain another 10 years of tax exemption, profitability should further improve. Coupled with a decent dividend yield of about 5%, this still a Buy call for me.

Share price is experiencing a "bonus overhang". Expecting short term selling pressure but it is supported by company share buyback and decent dividends. Requires a new catalyst for the next upward movement.

Gearing (share price/warrant price) looks reasonable at the current warrant price level. I would start selling the warrants and start accumulating the mother share on price weakness.

Applebeesgrill - Listing date from Bursa website. Warrant price is my own forecast based on 20% above warrant exercise price of RM2.40.

Tomorrow is THE day for our bonus shares and warrants to be listed. Warrant price = RM0.48 ? Can we expect an upward trend in share price tomorrow ?

T - 1. Will we see RM5-00 tomorrow ? Some recent positive news flow on CPO price although as I mentioned previously this is not a pure plantation play; or at least not for the next 3-5 years. Commodity price (CPO, crude oil, etc) will always be volatile and cyclical in nature but the engineering and equipment business should provide some earnings certainty over the next few years.

Thanks Alex Chong - 4 Nov is the entitlement date when we will have our free warrants and bonus shares. Adrianzeus - Positive momentum seen today as we approach ex date. I will not be surprised if it touches and go beyond RM5.00 tomorrow. Question is whether it will surpass the year high of RM5.15 before ex date?

RM4.80 appears to the next resistance level. Once this is broken, we should be heading towards the RM5.00 + territory. Considering one of the directors is intending to trade their shares (based on Bursa's announcement), I believe we should be seeing the RM5.00 + level before 4 Nov ex-date.

Exactly right adrianzeus! Best time to nimble and accumulate when market is fearful. Tomorrow's EGM should provide some fresh leads on the company and it's direction.

Still waiting for the announcement....so far the news flow appears to be in the company's favour; bonus and warrant issue approved by Bursa, Indonesia Govt has decided not to impose the 30% cap on foreign ownership on plantation companies, CPO price is already low (may go lower but with El Niño coming, more upside than downside in price) and company is awaiting approval for another 10 years of tax incentive for their new product.

Bursa has approved the Bonus and Warrant issue. Looking forward to the ex-date and tomorrow should see positive price movements for the counter.
