I think it will take some time for sona-w to reach 0.40. Even both start as SPAC, they have different strategies; even cliq has different strategy compare to sona. btw, what is important is YOUR investment strategy right. but then again, the biggest fish is always the one that slip away, and the best investment is the always the one never made.
then again, i could be wrong.

Normal E&P: Seismic--->evaluate--->exploration well----->evaluate--->if commercially viable--->develop
Bunga Raya way: REX---->seismic---->REX---->exploration well---->evaluate---->if commercially viable---->develop
They are using REX to complement conventional. Claim better success rate. itu saje.
For masirah, all the seismic and exploration well data already available from previous owner. For new area, they still need to conduct seismic and confirmation by actually drill an exploration well.

Let's say for the sake of discussion kedai kopi using "kedai kopi" valuation of the company based on asset approach. Let say the company have proven reserve of 50 million barrels of oil. Using USD 50 per barrel, the company has asset worth USD 2.5 Billion. let say we minus 500 million liabilities; so the net asset is 2 billion. Let say the outstanding shares is 1 billion. So the worth per share is USD 2. Then come one very rich man too lazy to start its own oil and gas business, and would rather buy an existing company. based on the asset valuation, he wants to buy the company for USD 2 per share. If all the majority shareholders agree for the offer, then everybody will get USD 2 per share.
Minority shareholders then complain to MSWG (minority shareholder watch group) because they are not getting a fair valuation of their stock because they bought at USD 2.5. hehehehe

latest quarter EPS is negative. Using PE as sole base for investment decision does not make sense here.

Definition of 'Venture Capital'
Money provided by investors to startup firms and small businesses with perceived long-term growth potential. This is a very important source of funding for startups that do not have access to capital markets. It typically entails high risk for the investor, but it has the potential for above-average returns

question: how much you want to sell your company if you have a proven reserve of 200 million barrel?
answer: what is your offer?

e&p is a risky business with very great return. unit development cost and unit production cost can be between usd 1 to 10 per barrel while spot price can be usd 70-80 per barrel. development period can be between 1.5 year to 5 years before the oil reserve can monetised. once actual drilling is completed and reserve/asset is confirmed, fair value of the company can be as high as rm9/share (with the current Exploration areas and confirmed oil reserves). so, if you extra money to bet, why not? dont like the risk? keep in FD

dont put ur money in sona if expecting the price to rise in the next 2 -3 months. they have ample time to acquire and not in a hurry.

Hibiscus an E&P company. Barakah a service provider to E&P activities. Both upstream. Barakah does have some downstream works in gas procession plant and other downstream plants.

2013-12-05 13:00 | Report Abuse
Investors would like to know about proven reserves. STOOIP can be high. That will take some time. In the mean time, buy the ticket and to enjoy the ride; (if you the appetite for risks) :)

The level of education of a person can generally be assumed with great accuracy by the way he or she composes sentences. I could be wrong, but highly likely I could have at least more than 90% change of being right. Apologize if offended anybody.
