If you have dealt with any factory in China to customise any product from scratch, you would have known how soul torturing the whole process is. Things could go wrong in ways that you would have never imagine in your worst nightmare.

This, my man, is the battlefield of Ucrest. The HARD MODE.

Ucrest is the Main Con who has to do all these soul crashing work, solving so many souhai problems until every single staff start losing hairs.

RDIF will pay RM0.8 for every successful, up-to-standard vaccine from the production.

Now you tell me, is this a good business?

Also, the term 'middle man' is not accurate here.
Ucrest plays more of a Main Contractor role.

Those labs that are already established and able to produce vaccine like Sputnik V, of course it's better off for them to sign a deal directly with RDIF, which they did, end of the story.
Ucrest is NOT competing with them. Ucrest is NOT playing this game.

Now, the bigger problem (and opportunity ) is this, there are only a very limited of these vaccine-experienced established labs in the world. And right now the demand is way higher than these labs could supply.

If RDIF wants to cater to these demands and make hot money, they will have no choice but to 'build' the solution from scratch. I.e. vetting second tiers labs in cheaper countries (China, India, Malaysia?), or build a new team/ lab in a cheaper country, QC facilities, knowledge transfer till they're able to produce Sputnik V, trial, QC, repeat the whole process.

I just don't understand why RDIF has to go through a middle man to manufacture vaccine instead of go direct to China. Don't tell me they have too much money must give some to Botak!

Universe, if you don't get that you don't even get the fundamental of business lol.

You could technically build your own house with your own hands from scratch, but did you?
No right. You buy from a developer and hire contractors to gao dim the renovation for you.
So that you could spend your time working and investing and make more money.
