My decision was correct! The downfall of ringgit will cause the price of imported goods to rise, and it will actually benefit local brands such as Padini as it can now offer a much better price compared with the foreign brands.

The only news for Padini today is its stock closing price changed by -0.04 and nothing else.

Padini also has a good debt management.

I didn't say it was wrong. I just felt uncomfortable by this price call, if you think it is a realistic price target (either it is reached before the stock split or 2 years after the stock split) then I wish you good luck. But my previous experience in stock market taught me to believe in my own judgement instead of following the TP.

CIMB just tried its best to ruin its reputation with this ridiculous buy call.

1 year >100% return considered really good, and you cashed out at the right time. Good for you.

Haha..how would you justify 'good'. No doubt Bonia has its strength in fundamentals but its P/E is too high and its dividend yield is low if compare with Padini.

If drop below 1.9 then I will buy more of this stock.

Fund manager + panic sellers. It just shows how irrational our market is.

True enough, sometimes speculators will inflate the price to some unreasonable level, it is best if we can play their game and cash out at the peak, then buy in again when the bubble burst. But this is depending on luck though.

Bonia is actually quite strong fundamentally, there should be no doubt that by the end of this year it can go up until 5.5-5.8 something. The thing that worried me is that it has a large amount of debt (if compared with Padini), I would rather see Bonia to use its revenue to clear its debt instead of bulking up its net profit to lure the investors in.

I have been lucky enough to have some good sifus out there and guidance books to enlighten me on stock investment (especially fundamental analysis), otherwise I would be the 'youngster' that you mentioned :).

Padini has such a high yield of dividend, a long term investor won't care about its price fluctuation as long as the fundamentals are good. Let's say somebody bought Padini with RM50k, he would get about RM2500 dividend every year, that's a return ticket to Paris man...even if he bought it with only 20k, it will still earn him RM1000 a year. If compound with the rise of share price (which I think will definitely happen thanks to Padini's efficient management) the return would be much higher.

It definitely will soar above 3. Padini's dividend yield is about 5 percent and its revenue is constantly growing each year. It might not suit the taste of those speculators, 'TP followers' or 'rumour buyers' but for a long term investors it is an exquisite precious stone.

I never trusted any analyst ever since the hype of Airasia X. Not to say that the profession is useless though, but it is hard in our country to find a good financial analyst who is free of bias and really do a good analysis on the company.
