2013-12-29 19:10 | Report Abuse
they are going GA South... probably changing their strategy ..highest block is K1 North
2013-12-29 17:47 | Report Abuse
NKN1, i think you did a good trading... hibiscus wa discount is wide, expect to correct again for mother... but short term correction must definitely re enter for next move..once oman approve, price would move to RM1.80 and 2 very soon...everyone has their trading and investment pattern, if FP has 2000 lots, he has lost 250k opportunity losses in 1 week, being investors or traders doesnt mean you are wrong, just how much you can stomach the risk

they got 3-4 drills this year ma..you go to genting also 50%, beg big 4 times, can open small 4 times also, this is risk ma, just dont buy at high price enough, i admit that RM2.75 is sky high valuation with 50% bet on oil lar, 1.80 would be the stabilise level
2013-12-27 18:48 | Report Abuse
Por Soon Keong, you cant compare benalec with hibiscus, benalec is a downtrend stocks, hibiscus was not..benalec has corporate governance issue and fighting on board of directors, hibiscus directors didnt fight, petroci is the ivory coast's national oil giant, why they want to tie up with rex/hibi for this? play with sands is it? or bitumen (anbz)? hahaha

first..discount..when mother up, warrants new shares 1000 lots appear again, after people makan, then appear again, then sell down...apa la...enough la, collected enough, lazy to watch
2013-12-27 16:31 | Report Abuse
it is confirmed, sharks spotted on warrants..avoid...will rebuy if reach rm1
2013-12-27 16:12 | Report Abuse
this explanation is more valid but somehow I dont buy it, because it occured last week too...big funds will buy warrant too, as it will contribute 3-4% more to their return for that arbitrage,
2013-12-27 16:05 | Report Abuse
so more retailers in warrant, yes, i agree.. from my stock punting experience, you look previously, sersol..sumatec, where got warrant go into discount and it widens, they only go to premium n premium widens and widens, warrant is cheaper, therefore demand should be stronger, who is selling?
2013-12-27 15:56 | Report Abuse
and now it explains...got ppl distributing...this is worrying...everytime warrant discount widens, meaning insiders are dumping...it happened last week, the same too when mother is trading at 2.70....DR KENNETH SELL?
2013-12-27 15:50 | Report Abuse
prc, if more ppl are buying wa, the price should be 1.27 now ma..now 1.19, duno what they are doing man..aiks hold and dont watch
2013-12-27 15:49 | Report Abuse
i know what are you saying, but still doesnt explain why the warrants discount is getting larger..who is selling?
2013-12-27 15:43 | Report Abuse
got big funds throwing warrants like nobody's business..something is cooking.. dont buy better
2013-12-27 15:31 | Report Abuse
FP, why you said hibiscus collection now, i am now confused, why warrants discount getting larger now! same like last week! dont tell me same thing will happen again? is it because of that margin issue? i Hope so..

got ppl say hibiscus is next knm/lcl somemore, now thought about it, they dont even know lcl/knm business, hahaha...advice: why not spend more time to read up rather than giving stupid comments, only show how stupid you are
2013-12-27 11:51 | Report Abuse
how sure are you, it will be high..now it really depends on the next drilling...i think price will stablise at 1.80 in next week and depends on the outcome by then.. see, the discount now is coming down again..that is the indicator, just see warrant to dictate whether you should buy or sell..now 3 cents discount..the fair price is 0c discount
2013-12-27 11:35 | Report Abuse
not automatic... 2 weeks pay 50cents to them, one share 50cents..if dont pay, your warrant become 0
2013-12-27 11:09 | Report Abuse
richmore, 50cents is the exercise price...mother 1.72, warrant true vaule is 1.22 not 1.17, you are getting a discount if you buy warrant, but beware.. last week this happens when the price ran up to 2.75, son only 2.13, 12 cents discount, which explains the crash later, meaning alot of people still dumping warrant even though it is discount... i guess it is the broker's margin terms next jan where you cant use margin to hold warrants...so by 2 jan 2014, warrant should be close to mother, lets see
2013-12-27 10:58 | Report Abuse
got big funds still selling hibiscus-wa, if not why the discount? hmm
2013-12-27 10:44 | Report Abuse
one thing i dont understand is, hibiscus-wa is traded on discount still... dont buy now, if can wait for 3 days more when the price is stabilized
2013-12-27 10:38 | Report Abuse
as i told you, sure will come back...now i am suspecting last week, suddenly got more than 10 users saying limit down, no oil, tp 1, 80cents, they all might be syndicates...now you dont see them shouting anything...this is weird
2013-12-27 10:34 | Report Abuse
ganasai, ya..look at rex, no insiders selling before announcement, malaysia is full of hanky panky, corruption, bribing, and even the pm himself dont even keep what he promise, now wanna increase tol, so either we leave the country or accept it
2013-12-27 10:04 | Report Abuse
ganasai, good selection...alot of naysayers still not happy with hibiscus, i cant believe the government of Ivory coast (Petroci) will be so stupid to tie up with HIBISCUS/REX on OMAN if there is no potential oil, just hold and hopefully when all warrants converted into mother share, we will see who are the real investors in the company
2013-12-27 09:56 | Report Abuse
it will rise eventually, this price is cheap to collect, apparently, some brokers said that by Jan 2014 they are not giving margins for hibiscus-wa, partly the reason of the sell down, i guess mother RM2 is possible before the second drilling starts

gark, dragonslayer ask for upside, thats why explained to him how to value E&P companies
2013-12-26 22:35 | Report Abuse
why suddenly everyone speak in malay here? hibiscus will up tomorrow... alot of noobies thought hibiscus write off rm100m, in fact just minimal, as explained by flowerpower, it is not even 3cents per shares, whats the big hooha i dont understand... in regards to prospects of oman, unrisked reserves stands at 5,200 mmbbl, assume 10% strike rate (very low probability), 520mx usd90x 3.2 = RM149billion , this is the prospects of hibiscus without calculation of expenses/capex and future value yet...
another easier valuation method would be to value the company/concession based on USD per barrel, using other comparables transaction, assuming hibiscus found 10% of oman reserves and sold it to another party who is ready for development/production, the value could be USD3-6 per barrel depending on which stage, if production, can be USD6, development can be USD3, using USD3 per barrel x 520m x 3.2 (Exchange rate) = this concession is worth RM4.5 billion (again assuming 10% success rate only)
RM4.5b x hibiscus stake (22%) = RM1.xx billion upside
count yourself, current market cap plus warrant is only a billion, if oman strike, potentially double.. RM3 is the minimal hibiscus mother could worth
of course, if you use 20% probability, then it is RM4, 30% then is RM5...this is my rough calculation
2013-12-26 18:12 | Report Abuse
ragrag, not RM35m la, just first well RM17.5m
2013-12-26 18:11 | Report Abuse
I still have one question in my mind, who are the ones pushing up hibiscus shares from 2.10 to 2.70 in a short time, could the story be even dr kenn himself is so positive that they really see oil but didnt expect the losses to happen in the end? hhakim, is this possible?
2013-12-26 17:41 | Report Abuse
agree, but why so many guys come in limit down twice to 50cents ah or 80cents ah, and one more thing, where is flowerpower?
Stock: [HIBISCS]: HIBISCUS PETROLEUM BHD
2013-12-30 20:59 | Report Abuse
Gokula, to answer you... hibiscus is upstream while barakah, perisai alam are all downstream, they dont involve in exploration and drilling and production, what they do is just depending on contracts from big players like petronas and serve them, for hibiscus they want to become the first independent upstream O&G player in Malaysia, without depending on Petronas contract, what they are involving are higher risk than barakah, perisai and alam, once they found oil, they can be very profitable, for instance, hibiscus bought into 3D oil's concession, which has only 9million reserves , still got more to explore, and itself has cost hibiscus about rm100million, which means one barrel reserve could worth RM10+, you multiply that into OMAN's unrisked reserves of 5,200 barrels
Lets assume if 10% probability of OMAN turn into potential reserves, that would be 520 BOE, 520 x RM10, could worth RM5.2billion alone! so why cant hibiscus trade above barakah, perisai and alam's market cap? you cant compare orange with apple, to compare orange with orange, take a look at RH Petrogas and Kris Energy (both listed in Singapore), then you will understand more about hibiscus
