Yes the price adjustment should be on the ex-date. But the actual price can be higher or lower than the adjusted price. In this case seeing so many confused people, probably due to inexperience, we can expect weakness for a few days.

SCIB is a good growth company with fairly visible earnings. Of course it will go up...and down. But don't expect it to move like GameStop

Your comments about the opening price of warrants is correct. It will not be half sen based on current price of mother. But the price of mother share on tuesday will depend on supply and demand. The so-called adjusted price is just a indicative value and it is not important at all to us.

attaching a premium of 30 % to calculate the warrant price may be too high for Scientex. 30 % more appropriate for popular hot stocks like Kpower.
But then scientex is a solid blue chip compared to kpower which is a potential future blue chip.
Anyway I hope you are right so we can enjoy a better price for the warrant

Wow 1.77 is a nice exercise price, not too high. Can expect the warrant to fetch at least 40 sen on listing if SCIB at 1.65.

Some people here are recommending to take profit and buy lower later. By now we should know that for KPOwer it wont work becoz Kpower is moving in a strong general uptrend.

That is what I meant when I said there will be a lot of new buyers for Kpower on Monday. Many will realise that on Monday when Kpower is ex-bonus at a "smaller" price they still have a big chance to buy to qualify for the warrants. Watch the boom towards this friday

On Monday 11/1 KPower will be ex bonus and probably trade around rm2+. At that price there will be a lot of new buyers attracted to get in so that they can qualify for the warrants. It trades ex-warrants on Tuesday 12/1. By this Friday Kpower should be closer rm8

Its very hard to go wrong on Kpower..... It is a unique win-win-win situation. Any downwards movement is buying oppotunity not to be missed. Any price below 7.50 is still a good buy.

SCIB should be subdued until Wednesday so that the exercise price for the coming warrants will not be too high. So opportunity to collect now

In the past the ex-dates for bonus shares and warrants on Bursa used to be on the same date. That trend is changing probably due to the amendments to the listing of new securities such as bonus, rights and warrants, that were issued by Bursa effective 13/8/20 and 1/10/20. It appears that SCIB is taking advantage of these amendments. SCIB is one of the first few (if not the first) where the ex-date for warrants is going to be around 2 weeks after the ex-date for the bonus.....even KPower modified their initial share split proposal to include warrants. Since the new SCIB warrants should fetch at least 40 sen there will be a lot of buyers for the bonus shares which will be entitled to the new warrants.
So there should be a lot of NEW buyers for SCIB after the bonus ex-date which is 30/12/20...??

Looks like the bonus issue ex-date announcement will only be around 16/12/20 so that the bonus issue ex-date will coincide with the ex-date for the 3 sen dividend. In this way they can avoid a separate listing for the bonus shares.

The 3 sen dividend ex-date is 30/12/20. The bonus issue ex-date announcement will be anytime now and the expected listing date of the bonus shares is middle of December probably before 20/12/20. The bonus shares don't qualify for the 3 sen dividend.
Hence the bonus SCIB shares will be listed separately from the current SCIB shares ? SCIB 'A' ?
